It's called a "movie trailer."

You see, before a "movie" comes out in the "theater," they release these "things" called "trailers."  Now there "trailers" are usually played before other movies, on "television," and now, thanks to Al Gore and Steve Buscemi, on the "internets."  That "link" I made in the first post of the thread was one such trailer.

I will see it, it looks pretty good. Seriousness, it could be pretty good, parody, it will still be good.

They just rolled a dead body off the roof.  I'm sorry, but if I had to touch a dead body I would probably want some Purell as well.

Post by: Cheez on August 31, 2009, 04:47:00 pm
I'm guessing Purell's an antiseptic or steriliser or something?

To be honest, I'd probably just wipe my hands on my arse and that'd be it. Hygiene ain't my strong point.

There's a new trailer out, for the most part, it's looking even better.

You can find it on the main site, or on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Zombieland?ref=nf

That was filmed partly in my town.

The courthouse downtown had signs in the windows and shit and there was debris everywhere. There was a tank sitting in the middle of one of the busiest roads in town.

I don't think this should have been moved.

Description of the Zombie Stuff board:
Quote
Talk about zombie related stuff here! Movies, music, survival situations etc.

Zombie Land is a zombie movie, da? Therefore it should be allowed there. If you're going to move stuff like this out of that board, then I suggest changing what you say is allowed there.

So I aw it today. It was awesome. Not amazing, but still awesome. Wish there were more zombies though. So many people did would mean there'd be a load of zombies walking around while they're driving.

Just saw it yesterday! The zomedy is really the only thing keeping the zombie genre with any dignity. Although one thing I noticed, they kept mentioning trying to find a zombie free place, but they barely ran into any zombies through most of the movie. Really it seemed like as long as you avoided a high density population zone you didn't run into anything. The no name policy was good, call each other by where they were going. Geez, Wichita was stupid though. I mean I can understand the trying to keep some bit of her sister's childhood, even Little Rock was already basically a little con artist because of her older sister, not sure what bit of her childhood or innocence was left before the outbreak. Still, they never thought lighting that place up was a bad idea? I think she was lucky she was hot or Columbus and Tallahassee may not have been so quick to come and help.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: IMONFIREGUY on October 11, 2009, 02:35:51 pm
they activated a crescendo event by activating the power at the amusement park alerting the horde(L4D talk)
but yeah it was a fun movie though im a bit surprised Tallahassee didnt kill Columbus a couple time for his too quick to shoot methods

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: MLE on October 11, 2009, 06:05:16 pm
There were some parts where I was frustrated at how STUPID some of Wichita and Little Rock's ideas were. Auugh. But I loved this movie, so much.

...Twinkies ;A;

Worship the Twinkies I say... But the point about not encountering many zombies... You're right about that
through the whole film I thought for a second... "Where are the zombies?"

I JUST saw it tonight.
I was a little disappointed, but still a GREAT movie.

My friend and I about went nuts when it got to the part in that town where they were just walking down and talking. Lemme think... what were they talking about?

I dunno. I was too busy concentrating on how THAT SCENE was WHERE I FUCKING LIVE.

OH! I know what they were doing. It was when Tallahassee destroyed the minivan. There's a sign in the background a little before that which says "BANK OF COWETA." That's my fucking bank.

It was epic.

I wanted to steal one of the signs that had a grenade on it and said "SOLVE IT!"

East Broad Street? I drive that road pretty much every day.

However, as good as this movie was, I was a little irked by some things.

A) How, despite there being, as they claim, 'six people left on earth,' there was still electricity. Also, when they powered up the amusement park, ALL the rides started turning.

B) "Nut up or shut up," is a great line, but there could have been some better times to say it.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Achilles on October 17, 2009, 05:13:52 pm
Just saw it. AWESOME MOVIE!!!

I do agree that the whole electricity thing was annoying, as was the fact that they had all these badass weapons, and Cincinnati still using his old POS double barrel shotgun.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Boomstick on October 17, 2009, 10:01:59 pm
I was kinda annoyed at the rides as well.  not because they started turning by themselves, but mainly because when they were on the pirate ship ride, who the fuck was controlling it?  Carnivals and Amusement parks have carnies for a reason!

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: The Friendly Neighborhood Mad Scientist, J.C. on October 18, 2009, 05:26:56 pm
I thought about the 'how the hell do they get off the ride?' part myself, but that whole idea was stupid, so it kind of blanketed those thoughts. I noted how dumb Wichita's idea was earlier. Now the power issue, they never give us much of a time line on how long it'd been. I doubt it was too long because I just don't believe Columbus could have made it too much longer alone. How long could a plant keep power going sans crew? The movie was basically a nerd fantasy though, the geeky guy with no life survives zombies because of his rules, gets the girl and gets a kick ass wingman. One thing that really got me though, was Rule one. Not saying cardio is a bad idea, but Columbus was a shut-in WoW addict or survived on Code Red. How good of shape could he have really been in? I want to see the experiences that Columbus went through to get all of his rules too. I mean 17 was Don't be a hero, was he a part of other groups, or just make some up as he went?

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Hailfax on October 18, 2009, 05:29:34 pm
Well, he did say that he was by himself for two months. And when he was walking through the town with Tallahassee, he talked about people and their mishaps. He probably thought about some rules as he passed by them.

As for Cardio, just because he was a shut in doesn't mean that he wasn't fit.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Major Cobalt on October 18, 2009, 06:27:09 pm
Now the power issue, they never give us much of a time line on how long it'd been.

I think it's safe to assume that, judging by the condition of the roads, towns, and the fact that Columbus, Ohio had burned completely to the ground, sufficient time had passed for the world's power grid to have been offline.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Boomstick on October 18, 2009, 06:32:13 pm
Guys, don't dig too deep into the inconsistencies.  This movie was not supposed to be a true-to-life example of a zombie outbreak.  This was a comedy.  IT was just supposed to make you laugh while some gore was splashed, and heads exploded.

Yes, there were things that would not, could not, and should not happen, but it's Hollywood.

Title: Re: Zombie Land
Post by: Major Cobalt on October 18, 2009, 06:33:24 pm

But that's no fun.
I have a thought process that makes me analyze EVERYTHING. So it kinda came naturally.

just throwing this out there, but I think they need more Zombie Killer of the Week stuff. The piano-smash thing was awesome. They also needed more rules. The 'intro' clips for the first 4 were hilarious, and the way they showed on screen what rule was being applied (or ignored) only added to the hilarity. I don't think it would have been hard to work in more, without ruining the joke.

Title: Re: Zombie Land

I would like it if they just made short films for the rest of the rules.  that'd be awesome.
