I'm gonna say it right now. If that bastard Steven Speilberg goes anywhere near Remo Williams, Doc Savage or Mack Bolan, I'm gonna make a movie of my own and it's gonna be called Payback, starring his ass.

Yes, I am well aware Chiun can take care of himself. I don't care. I have been provoked enough.

It's hard to beat a classic. And there is no hell too deep for that one. If I could figure out how to get him into that special hell reserved for people who talk in movie theaters, there would he go.

It was on par with Aeon Fux. Dammit man! I am gonna hold a grudge over this one. I can feel it.

Granted. You will get many new forumites. They will have questions, many questions about the Good Ol' Days and about if Jenny is a cool as she draws and about that wiggly green thing that looks like Michael J Fox testifying in front of Congress and about where Last Outlaw gets his hockey masks resurfaced and about that Teddy Bear Hat of Cuteness +4 and where they can be farmed and about.... Shortly thereafter you will ask yourself what you were thinking when you made that wish.

I wish I could make that  green thing stop doing that. Its bad enough that it's eyes seem to follow me wherever I go.

Gotcha. On the plus side, increased traffic should keep the dust bunnies down some. And if not it will still be funny watching them get run over.

It came off with all of the expected schlock and awe and had all the right players. The problem was that it kinda felt like a LOOONG action figure commercial with something of a plot. It was kinda like Spielberg decided that he needed to tweak the origin of the Major some. And he used Scarlett Johansson to do it. He could have done a far better job than to westernize (read cheapen by dumbing down and adding boobs with the right name on them) a classic simply because he was Steven By God Speilberg and he f@$king could. I walked out of the the theater thinking "He whored out Kusanagi for that?"

Damn you, Steven Speilberg, to the Hell of the Upside Down Sinners for all of etetnity. And a day. Because I AM a spiteful bastard like that.

We didn't have proper leadership poppa. This is what happens when the inmates drive the Winnebego...

Note to Last Outlaw: I of course meant no disrespect with that Oh Wielder of the Mighty Banhammer. I was counting you among the inmates. Solidarity, brother! Please don't throttle me. Cheesy

What works for me is really simple if you can improvise. I reduce everything to a couple of maps and event/npc/plot cards. That way I am intimately familiar with the setting and main themes and can have any number of options ready to pull out if needed. To be honest, if the GM walks the players through character creation and scrawls a few notes the initial bit writes itself. This will work in any game setting. I've used it in D&D, Heroes, Shadowrun and the World of Darkness setting. The only time I've had problems is with Paranoia, but that one starts off going sideways and never stops.

I've been roleplaying since the GenCon in Lake Geneva days, so really the only question I can't seem to answer is where do I find players that want to actually role play and not just run P&P WoW characters.

Trumplosion o' the Day and Cowboy Bebop. Though had to rewatch all of my Ghost in the Shell dvds to get that horrid movie out of my head in there as well.

May Cthullu (pbhn) infest Steven Spielberg's nether regions with shoggoth polyps for that one.

I just finished Battlefield Earth by LRon (Yes, he was a freak and no not a Scientologist, I just like the book) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter Thompson. Right now I am starting Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.

Granted, but you will have to work overtime on Monday with Dougie, the manager's dim witted nephew. The one with the carrionesque halitosis and that growth on his neck.

I wish I had not eaten refried beans AND curry again yesterday. I really, really do.

AP: California. There's nothing quite like dropping a Cthullu (pbhn) in public and seeing the looks of understanding when you shrug at their confusion and say California.

Cthullu (pbhn) says: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, though He advises that you shouldn't expect any more mercy than the insincere when He gets around to re-establishing dominance. Elder Evil and all, right?
