You really, REALLY wouldn't want to be the first person to kill a zombie when the outbreak starts. Everybody's going to think you just shot someone in the head. Actually, that's exactly what happens in the first season of Fear the Walking Dead. A zombie bites a cop, and the other cops kill it. But every witness thinks the cops just killed a homeless guy. That's when the riot starts.

Even if the outbreak is contained, people would take advantage of it by just killing anyone they don't like. All they'd have to say is "he turned and I had to kill him."

Yup, it's been a full year. I wonder if this will continue into next January, because that's the last time Jenny posted on the TZH Facebook page.

Sid Meier's Pirates! from 2004. It still holds up. I'm also playing The Sims 4 because there's a Dia de los Muertos event going on right now. Need to collect those sugar skulls.

I'll bet money that the same people freaking out over these clowns are going to extend their freakout session to Halloween. They're the ones who will post stories about finding arsenic/ecstasy/rusty needles in their kids' Halloween candy. Those are all hoaxes, but naturally anxious people buy into that.

Man, I miss how these forums used to be around Halloween. Everybody was talking about horror movies, costumes, and jack o'lanterns.

Man, a lot of Americans are overwrought about clown sightings. They can't just laugh at a prank anymore. Sure, I get it. There have been a lot of mass shootings this year and there are a lot of agitated, anxious people who are worried about everything. Still, they ought to just relax. I just want to walk up to one of these stressed, emotional people and offer them a balloon. Oh yes, it floats.

I thought World War Z was a decent zombie film, all things considered. The book was MILES better.

There's a reason the studio didn't follow the book when it came to the virus origins. In the book, the outbreak originated in China. It spread because the Chinese government maintained a media blackout. In addition, the Chinese black market for donated organs unknowingly sent organs from infected donors to everywhere. That's how the outbreak started in Brazil. It eventually got too big for for China to contain and refugees fled overland to neighboring countries or took a plane or ship abroad. Many of those refugees were infected.

The Chinese government only allows some 34 foreign movies into the domestic movie market annually. In order to make the cut, those films have to abide by some rules. Chinese censors will not allow any films that portray the Chinese government in a negative light. Remember how the Red Dawn remake was delayed for months so they could replace the Chinese villains with North Koreans? Nor will the censors allow a film that contains supernatural elements such as ghosts and bona fide zombies. Supernatural monsters are occult and therefore superstitious and counter-revolutionary. There was no way the studio could make a WWZ movie based on the book wherein the Chinese government was responsible. Neither could they portray traditional Romero zombies.

Oh I'm not taking it personally. I just think a small update would be nice.

If you're trying to lose weight, stay away from fruit juice. Too much sugar.

I've followed webcomics before where the author was frequently late. Sometimes they'd take weeks between strips. But in all those cases, the author or one of the author's friends or relations posted on their site and explained the situation. Depression, financial difficulties, going through a move, too hungover from the night before, etc. For example, Order of the Stick had no updates for about two months when its author severely injured his thumb on his drawing hand. Again, there was an explanation.

But we're approaching a year between strips now. And there hasn't been anything posted on Facebook since January. This is getting ridiculous and it's a tremendous disservice to those who are still waiting on their books. I get that depression really screws with one's productivity. I also understand that Jenny needs to concentrate on getting better. But it's just a few lines on Facebook. Just a simple, "sorry guys I'm still not up to it" would suffice.

This is like dating a girl who suddenly ghosts on you, then comes back a few weeks later saying "sorry but this is a really bad time for me right now."

And yes, she was dealing with some crap in her life. So she wasn't lying to you. But then you hear that she's been doing things with other people so she definitely had time to call.

Well, 9 months is a long time between comics. And she hasn't even updated the TZH Facebook page since January.

The worst is when you hold it during a flight. The noxious gases seem to ferment inside. When you finally get a chance to let it rip, that gas is potent enough to kill small animals.

I've been a fan of several webcomics series that prematurely ended because the writer got depressed. Seems to be fairly common among artistic types.

The Resident Evil movies already did zombie ravens. Zombie parrots would be cool.

My little brother is going through depression right now. I know these things take time.
