I couldn't really get into it, are the unlockables worth it ? (the main menu theme kicked ass, though)

Heard the Amazon is but only really played the Archer and six characters total. Melee is pretty crappy compared to ranged.

New season, old thread. Necro time!

Aku no Hana, first impression:

(click to show/hide)

Certainly not what I expected, to say in the least. Just so... slow, hardly anything non-animation wise worth mentioning but the ending promises something more.

It started off with some random questing and junk until it came to a bigger quest, all about a mask so me and a group of adventurers decided to go for it. Skipped most of the temple fights until the end, where we found part of the mask and it binded on contact. We fought another party, most likely guardians of the temple, and won. There was a huge snake, wickedly venomous and hurts like hell. We defeated it by having our strongest (Constantly referred to as The Strongest) hold it down while I injected venom right into it's veins through a syringe.

The beginning doesn't matter as much as the end, where we did the temple again and things went wrong.

The mask was wandering this time, and we already had part of it from the first run. This time we found it complete and we gave it to the strongest, who already had part of it with her. It was wandering outside the corridor, in front of the snake room with an enemy party barely lighted in said room, some features can be seen so we took them on. When it came to the snake, we held it down but struggled to keep it down long enough to kill it. Couldn't find the vein, no matter how much we poked it (Pretty damn durable), and it's fangs ripped into the strongest one. And we panicked. We were frightened beyond belief, and could do nothing while she screamed in agony. We weren't even on the defense, still frantic and I felt the serpent's fangs bite into me. Hurt like nothing else and I just started casting time magic, reversing time so we could get back to before the snake struck either one of us but the damage was done. Haphazard at best, I went back in parts, greyed out, until my magic ran out and we were alone.

The strongest was mortally wounded, the snake was gone and the room was dark, with a lone light near the pit. We could barely see the corridor but we could see shadowy figures. We couldn't even make them out but all our animal companions fled, save for the raven. The dark figures were approaching and we knew we were dead, that we would die fighting them and die alone. One of us said, "I don't want to die like this..." so we decided we'd die on our own terms, one of them carrying the strongest into the pit, the third walked in right after and I stepped into it last.

I remember looking up from the bottom, seeing our raven flutter into a sword, both filled with colour and the shadowy figures looking down at us. They said some words, and the pit closed.

Hack, Slash, Loot. Pretty damn cheap when a Dragon breathes fire at crazy range, hits and you lose three equipment out of eight including your ranged weapon (Only one weapon can be carried), despite having Silver resistance (Prevents equipment loss) and fire resistance.
Divine weapons ain't got shit on dragons.

You haven't watched Toradora? Looks like you're watching that next.

TLO covers the classics, I'll cover some... non-classic stuff.

One thing for Claymore, I will always remember volume 11's Battle of Pieta. Think it's in the anime but that segment kicks so much ass.

For your Netflix thingamabob:

Afro Samurai, badass samurai and shit. It's badass fights, a hip-hop soundtrack by the RZA, style and constant feats of awesome with no plot, little development, bad dialogue and writing and Ron Perlman/Samuel L. Jackson.
Afro Samurai: Resurrection, within the first 10 minutes or so.
Samurai 7, full stop. One of my favorite shows by far.
Baka to Test, it's stupid. So ridiculously stupid but so damn hilarious. And Hideyoshi  He love you long time
Hetalia's pretty good for five minute shorts.
Chobits! So sweet and adorable!

So, while everyone else is playing the new Bioshock, I'll be in this corner playing the newest pokemon mystery dungeon game and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. (which i am slightly confuzzled on. Should I play the World Ends With You before playing this game? I am so lost right now)

If you're playing Mystery Dungeon then you're definitely playing Etrian Odyssey IV after.

I thought you only need to play every other Kingdom Hearts game before going to KH:3D.

Magical Diary, pretty fun actually and throws some nice curveballs that can totally fudge up your route. Will replay it down the line.
Swords and Soldiers HD, fun and simple. Pick up and play and makes you smile.
Painkiller: Black Edition from yesterday's sale but need a thingamabob to make Direct X9 or something run. I don't know. Not playing it yet.

Lego City Undercover for my Wii U. This game is soooo much fun, it's basically Lego GTA, big open world, same fun Lego action from previous Lego games, with some hilarious writing. Totally worth it.

That game makes me think of some old Lego games I used to play, and all those Lego sets. They don't make 'em like they used to, sets wise.

Don't know why some of our avatars are still around, don't know why my kickass avvy is still here either.

Well tonight is Thursday night, so I figured people could get drunk as there is no work tomorrow! No one seems that keen though >.>

Forgot you're on the other side of the globe, wildly different times and all that jazz. You really should be partying right now. Pre-party to the party and party-party but you can't forget the pre-after party to the after-party and post-after party.

If not tonight, tomorrow since Friday is a holiday! Four day party!

I had to tone down the graphics of Mount & Blade so it wouldn't lag. And it was already pre-adjusted for 100% Performance.
Pretty much out for this bundle.
