Uh... yeah, it's possible. You'd have to fill me in on what that means, though.
I don't know, probably pretty early in the morning, but you might be able to see her now for a price, like Raryn's character.

Also, hopefully I'm not assuming too much in my latest post.

I'm sort of making it up as I go along, and what I have so far is that Thomas finds a message on his Blackberry about retrieving a folder. He isn't told what it contains, but only knows the time and location of when and where he has to pick it up.

And I have plenty of money from others, so I'm covered for expenses.
5252  Roleplaying / Role Playing Sign up and OOC / Re: The Supernatural (OOC) on: December 01, 2009, 08:28:56 pm
And for no reason at all, I'll take note of the "Kill someone with the force of a bullet being expelled from a wound". But then again... What are the odds Charles would know how to do such a thing, or to even concentrate his power to do that? He might though...

This would take some time and development though. And a past revelation to literally trigger such an event.

Nearly did a double post...

Ralion, is it possible that Claire would have a white dossier/file thing with a white slash and an insignia?
Don't know what it'll be used for, but it should be important.
And what time would she open her shop?

Damn you and your young self... No wonder it took them that long to make new installments in the Sam and Max and Monkey Island franchises.
And your friend has both good and absolutely horrible taste.

But that I can definitely see. It was all about simple, mindless fun, which was what made Serious Sam so awesome back then.
5254  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What should I get? on: December 01, 2009, 06:41:56 am
Peggle Deluxe from X-Box Live Arcade, Forza Motorsport 3 (Or Need for Speed: Most Wanted) and Braid.

Now I'm glad my guy is modern.
Hello Blackberry and Corporate goodies bought with others money!
5256  General Discussion / Game Discussion / TZH Game Reviews II: Sins of the Reviewer on: November 30, 2009, 08:33:51 pm
This is considering that the original (With it's 20+ reviews) wouldn't be retrieved for some time. So until it returns, the sequel will do, but the sequel can only so often triumph over the original.

Recently Completed: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

System: GameCube

Story: The Prince and his father conqueror the Maharajah for honor and glory. Among the loot is the Dagger and Hourglass of Time and Farah. The Prince wishes to keep the dagger, to the Vizier's dismay; the Vizier, in turn, tricks the Prince to stabbing the Dagger in the Hourglass, unleashing the Sands of Time which turn all but the Prince, Vizier and Farah into sand creatures.

Time Spent: 5:52 (Original time was around 9 hours)

The Good:
+ The ambiance, surroundings and music; and how they all flow together. The Arabic setting is easily a highlight and works perfectly with the game. Excellent production value.
+ Camera, when you're scoping out the surroundings to see the best way to get to your destination, fighting or simply enjoying the surroundings. Nearly perfect.
+ Controls are absolutely perfect, nothing is out of place and it works wonders.
+ Exploration and platforming, they go hand in hand and is easily the best part of the game.
+ Being able to rewind time after a bad jump or in combat, eliminates some frustrations and is a big help all around.
+ The characters and their interaction with each other, mainly the Prince and Farah.
+ The Prince would think his thoughts to himself, which was an excellent touch. Made the Prince come alive even more.
+ The fighting is good, at times nice and fluid, almost a weave of elegant slashing and stabbing.
+ Plenty of enjoyable puzzles.
+ What's there, in the end, is amazing.
+ Original Prince of Persia as an unlockable.

The Bad:
- Some puzzles can be tricky (Gatekeeper one specifically)
- Kinda short, which is a shame.
- Fighting could be a bit better

Score: 9.5/10, easily one of the highlights of Platforming in the GC/PS2/X-Box generation for platforming, and one that should not be missed.

How I love this...

The pain of extracting the bullet will fuel his blood lust, unless the voice has something to say about it. Damn rational thoughts... I'm sure it'll being him back to reality.

And is modern technology allowed? Blackberry's and cellphones, specifically. Unless a Blackberry is part cellphone.
5258  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: November 30, 2009, 04:08:46 pm
I really should get Steam... But at least the re-released version has the original with it.

PP: Not having Steam.

PP2: If they remade SoMI after so many years from it's original release, and still kept the amazing quality of it, will they ever remake Sam and Max Hit The Road, to make it (If possible) better than ever?

But $2 well spent.

Also looked up the original, and it came with a Floppy? If the new version had a floppy with the CD...

Charles will never get cancer or such a terrible disease that he can't cure!

Find them... It's most unfortunate that I don't have a lot of money... I do hope they value their lives though.
And perhaps I may know some from way back... Nothing like creating back story on the fly Tongue (I do hope it's allowed)

And must you ninja me and apply logic that contradicts what I was about to say?
But that is a good point... Eliminates quite a bit of text that I would have to do, and leaves out character development.

Is this the 1990s version of SoMI?

Hmm... I should have thought it through...

Looks like I'll need to think up of an underground doctor to extract the bullet.
And does the healing factor for Shapeshifter/Vampire/Werewolf only heal wounds, or does it also cure status afflictions (Disease/illnesses)?
5262  Roleplaying / Role Playing Sign up and OOC / Re: The Supernatural (OOC) on: November 30, 2009, 03:37:43 pm
Made up a gang that probably has a significant tie to my character, and a chap named Fernando.
And how quickly can a Shapeshifter recover from a bullet wound or two?

And thinking on what to do for Thomas, he'll take a bit longer than Charles.
5263  Roleplaying / RPG Graveyard / Re: The Supernaturals on: November 30, 2009, 03:35:59 pm
Almost- a bit more- nearly- have- him- kill- kill... KILL-

Five blocks, Three casualties and 2 gravely wounded humans later, Charles was less than 3 meters from his quarry. All he could see was the prey, and any other humans that wandered in his path or in the reach of his hands and fists. His mind focused on killing, how far he is from his prey and simply reaching it, he didn't notice where he was being led. The target turned around, and he saw the fear in it's eyes. It fed his blood lust and he moved faster. Nearly reaching his target, it suddenly turned a corner, ducking into an alley.

An alley... Wait!
Close- Nearly- Almost... In our reach! The Climax! The Fin-

Turning the corner, his shoes skidding the ground, he lunged forward and was met by a bullet in his chest. Spitting out blood and taking a deep breath right before a yell, he leaped towards the direction the gun came from and grabbed the muzzle. The gun fired and a bullet grazed his shoulder right before he forced it away from him. Using his other hand, he grab the throat of the assailant and squeezed.

"Crazy bastard... You mess with Fernando, you mess with the Mariachi." A voice from before said, the same voice from before.
He heard a click from behind him and ducked to the side, yanking the gun he grabbed before away and narrowly missing a bullet aimed for his skull. Skidding on the ground, he quickly rose up and found himself with an unconscious human. Walking to the human, breathing heavily, he stomped on his chest and face, doing whatever damage he could.
5264  Roleplaying / RPG Graveyard / Re: The Supernaturals on: November 28, 2009, 01:22:52 am
Cruising along, Thomas was tapping his fingers and humming along to a song he recalled. As much as he hated to admit it, he knew those sub-species were worthy for entertainment, surprisingly non-violent ones. Just as he was rolling up the windows, he stopped tapping and humming and slowed down the car a bit, catching a small piece of a conversation:

"... Visiting the Underlayer may benefit..."

Not paying it any heed, or caring where it came from (Or which direction, all he knew is that it was nearby), he drove on, continuing at the slowed pace. It isn't Vampires that are conversing, so why would it concern me? And to visit such a place even... They are at least better than humans... I think... Sort of... A little bit perhaps. Maybe...
Continuing to think, he became lost in thought as he drove into the night.

Two blocks from the diner, Charles shuddered and leaned on a nearby brick wall, hissing through his teeth and clutching his forehead. Moving to lean on his shoulder, he looked down the road he had gone past.

Keep going. Time is wasting.
Time is wasting. Get a-

"You alright pal?" A voice from behind him said.

Whipping around, a fist connected with his cheek, turning him back around and he grasped the wall in a bid to keep his balance. Fight back. Another blow to his midsection left him gasping for breath, he hit the ground on his elbows, clutching his stomach. Gathering enough breath, he rasped; "damn it... Damn-" Fight back... "Not..."

The sound of knuckles cracking and chuckling joined in with the voice; "You know of a guy named... Charles, don't you? Surely you do..."

Get up and fight. "No..."

"No? Well... Wrong answer, isn't it?" Right after the voice finished, it snapped it's fingers and someone kicked him in the stomach. "Surely you remember your own name, and... From way back..."

Looking up, he saw the one who spoke (And two others in front of him) grin and noticed the fangs.

... Only human... But-
Trembling, he grasped the wall, breathed in, spat out blood and chuckled. The chuckle escalated into a laugh and then into hysterical laughter.

Turning to face the three figures, he leaped to the one nearest to the wall and grabbed his shirt, slamming him into the wall. Releasing a hand and grabbing his face, he slammed his head into the wall with a sickening crunch. All in the span of when it took the other two to react. Letting go, the voice backed away while stared at him wide eyed and whispered, "El Diablo..."

Laughing, he took a step towards the voice and was hit in the side by a blunt object from the third figure. The force of the blow sent him to the wall, hitting his side but he placed his hand on the wall and pushed himself away from it, rapidly running towards the one who hit him. Tackling him, he slammed him into a parked car, activating the car alarm, shattering the side windows and cracking the front window. He grabbed the figure and pushed him head first through the broken shards of glass. Whipping around, he spotted the running figure and began to chase after him, up to his elbows in blood his coat splattered in it and his face crimson.

Hehehe! I love Shapeshifters!

And hapless gangs with no authority around... A pity about the coat though...
