......
I take your silence to mean that even though they changed just about everything, taken away nearly all that was good, added more effects, most surprisingly keeping the "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!" line and kept the ending that was seen in the original, which is better than the entirety of the new version.

Yes... That is good...

.....
Dear God... You lost me when all humans talked...

But... Why?

Humans talk... And the storyline changes... Including the ending? Please tell me they didn't change the ending!
5328  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / Re: Latest Movie You've Seen on: October 09, 2009, 09:55:51 pm
Not as cheesy? That's what we get with fancy effects and technology these days!
And do you mean that in the new movie, Taylor doesn't talk? At all (Or at least after his capture)? But surely he must say the famous quotes from the original!

Apart from the costumes and the changes to Taylor, what else was changed?
5329  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / Re: Latest Movie You've Seen on: October 09, 2009, 09:47:01 pm
Nope, but how can it compare to the cheesy retro ambiance of the original?
5330  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: October 09, 2009, 09:46:04 pm
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, 150 quests completed and 68 hours into it (Or 67:59:58). I can now max out the Fighter, Templar, Defender and Illusionist ability sets, but I now have Viking! Which gives my Seej purpose.

Also Picross, which as usual, soothes my Puzzle fix.

Edit, my estimates aren't even close...

It stars Charlton Heston and Roddy McDowall, would that count as old?
And I am more innocent than some of these organics!

And to clarify, do you mean old as in the Planet of the Apes old, or 3:10 to Yuma old, because there was a remake of the former?

Also, because of your threat to my person, I will not comment on the classiness of Back to the Future.

3:10 to Yuma

New or old one?

Planet of the Apes. Watched it before some other movies due to the title.

Finished Monster, caught up with Bleach, finished Planetes and on to Read or Die, rereading Great Teacher Onizuka and getting back into Claymore.

Obscene amounts of rain.
It's nice to remember that I don't own an umbrella.

I do not know what you just said, but it was probably benevolent.

But I did hear waterproof, and that's perfect... Most perfect...

Street Fighters: The Last 72 Hours of Bear Stearns, The Toughest Firm on Wall Street by Kate Kelly, quite good, and it's definitely keeping my interest.

On volume 17 of Monster, but more fair to say I finished 16 this morning and haven't started 17 yet.

Picross DS,  8th Set of FreePicross puzzles, and only two to go for that set, completed 3-4 today.
Now one of the reasons I recharge my DS every 12 hours. Or when I remember.

Indeed! That sounds like a head-smashing good time!

Can we start playing?
5338  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: What did we learn today? (Apart from that australian wine rocks.) on: September 27, 2009, 02:56:38 pm
Today I learned an Astro Boy movie is in the making (Learned it late, probably).
Just looking at the poster for a few seconds sent me chills.

I never got past Force Heretic I, but I do have the trilogy and The Final Prophecy. Been meaning to read it for a while, and been keeping myself spoiler free from what happens next.

Also reading A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.
It's what a textbook should be. So far, deals with physics, chemistry, geology, astrology and cosmology, and that's less than 200 pages in.

You've got The Book Thief - Markus Zusak down twice, or is it just that good? =P

It is narrated by Death, so it's good right off the bat Tongue

And forgot that I left it in twice, was trying to reorganize it into alphabetical order, but I guess I'm incapable of doing that.
