Holy crap guys, did you see this week's Roguelike old-school boners Humble Bundle Weekly Sale? Dungeons of Fucking Dredmor Complete! And some other stuff but Dreds, holy shit that game is amazing. I know many of you have it but have it severely underplayed but for the rest of you who don't have it, that bundle is worth it for Dreds alone. You also get a bunch of other games as a bonus!

With that said, already have half of them and the ones I don't have are either Early Access (Pass) or stuff I can't run but are over the average. Still worth it for Dreds.

^ This. My printer is a douche, need to hand feed it pages and sometimes it just refuses so I have to clear the non-existent jam, tickle the menu button and try again.

My computer can run Gal Civ II pretty smoothly now, the equivalent of Colombian cocaine through it's wires and processors. Maybe one of these years I'll upgrade but until I run out of games on my Steam backlog, I'll pimp this decade old hardware.

EDIT:  While I'm plugging games, "LaMulana" is on sale as the Steam daily deal for 1.49.  If you like Metroidvania type games (like symphony of the night) and/or brutally hard platformers and/or twisted logic puzzle games get this game.  It's well worth the 1.49.  HK in particular I think would enjoy it, I know your specs for your PC are rough but if you even think you might be able to run this old school pixelfest, check it out.  It's a good game, even though the learning curve ramps up sharply and steeply very early in but it rewards milestones with a sense of accomplishment that is almost as intense as Dark Souls.

It's so rough that it doesn't meet the ram requirements. And the graphic requirements. But had enough change in my wallet after some card sales so picked it up and will install it later. I can run Kotor II and Dredmor so why not this? A long shot but definitely my style.

Persona 3 FES, a game everybody should play.

Holy shit, Persona fucking 3 FES. Currently at the ass end of November and
(click to show/hide)

This game, I can now see it being as good as Persona 4 as I've invested all my emotions in it and overdrawn some more.

Loved The Dark Spire, one of the few games where you can lose the first battle you ever get into. Probably took me 60+ hours and pages of notes to reach the ending. Literal pages, took notes of everything that I might not remember or what seemed important.

Dark Spire and holy balls am I getting my butt pushed in.

Wait until you get to the Venom Dragons, an ambush by them leaves half your party dead and the other half dead the next turn.

Continuing Persona 3 FES, spent a few hours in Tartarus leveling until it was me and Koromaru, but made 20 floors of progress, capped at Floor 160 and a few quests completed. Feels good to be back into it and just got enough smarts to start Mitsuru's route.

Wrapped up Final Fantasy X, the final two boss battles were nothing compared to Yunalesca, and replaying that Airship Boss Battle wasn't too bad, just 20 minutes of battle and cut scenes.
Glad I was finally able to get around to beating it.

Japandroid's Celebration Rock. Not as good as Post-Nothing but still good.

Kotor, now a Jedi Sentinel who for his sole power has Knight Speed with Master Flurry and Improved Two-Weapon Fighting. Demi-God rank achieved.

And thinking of starting up Baroque, a ball-crushingly hard Wii game made by Atlus.

Age of Empires II: because for some fuck all reason, III won't work on my laptop. Back to building massive empires!

Byzantines for all their counter unit discounts, Cataphracts, and all-around defensiveness. They kicked ass.

And AoeII HD I can't run due to GHD or GHC or GPH GPU requirements. Totally sucks.

HK-47 playing a modern game, shocking!

Bastion is worth more than 99 cents, it's a pretty good game, but I wouldn't get it for the iPad, solely because the god awful touch controls that most all iOS device games have would make it really awkward to play. Just get it on PC or 360 or whatever.

Modern games on my modern tablet! I am now recent!

The controls actually work for it. You either tap where you want The Kid to go or use a virtual joystick and he attacks automatically whenever enemies or breakables get in range.
And I have it on PC but can't play it. The soundtrack is still superb.

I'm assuming Bastion is worth the 99 cents then? I've been filling my ipad with games...so far I have Final Fantasy Tactics, The Bard's Tale, Republique, a couple free time waster games, and this one called Bloodmasque from SquareEnix. It's almost definitely a wallet warrior kind of game, but I snagged it while it was free, and it's pretty decent. I haven't had to put any money into it and I've been doing just fine. Hell, if it's still free, all of you iPad owners should help a brother out and download it, join up, and put in my user ID so I can get some rubies. 3-7786-8858.

I HAD Phoenix Wright because I thought it was free for Christmas or something, but it being Capcom, I had suspicions. Then I found out only the first two cases are free and then you have to pay $15 for the rest. Noped out of that real quick.

I'd pick up The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us had I not already got the season passes on 360.

So worth the 99 cents, and the sound still holds up to it's amazing glory. The sound had to get another mention.

Final Fantasy Tactics is too expensive for my tablet taste but still one I'll keep an eye on if SquareEnix ever puts it on the cheap. And how are the controls for it?
The Bards' Tale I played on the Playbook solely for Tony Jay, and it was still real good.

And Ghost Trick is on sale for 99 cents as well, the first two chapters are free but you can buy the rest for said price.

Merry Wintereenmas everybody! Except it's better to say "Merry Christmas"!

Hope you guys got some cool vidya.

Also Steam is giving away Left 4 Dead 2 for FREE.

Grab em while you can, because I don't think this will last forever.

My mom got a new iPad Mini so been playing Bastion on it. And Bastion, holy shit it's amazing on it. Like seriously amazing. So amazing. And more games, enough that it'll take me a while to get through them.
But the top of the heap is the elusive Pikmin Wii Edition and Front Mission 4, because Wanzers warrants an immature giggle and Front Mission DS was mad deep.

Downloading the Star Wars Conquest mod for Mount & Blade instead of trying the vanilla version.

Yutster, don't know if this will help since you already have the parts you want to order but:

GameRevolution's "So You Want to Build a PC"

I think you'll enjoy Mount and Blade.  And I keep hoping that the last Deponia game goes on deep discount during this sale.  I've been jonesing for it for a while now.  I'm currently trying to decide if I want to grab either Eldritch or Battlefield 2 complete.

Pretty eager to get started on it, and it's old enough that I can run it! Huge selling point, even if I have to run it on low. And it looks simply spiffy.
