Blasted through the second volume of The Saga of The Exiles, "The Golden Torc". Moving on to third volume "The Nonborn King". Seriously, the character of Aiken Drum kicks serious arse. Even to the point of riding into battle six million years in Earth's past wearing a gold suit and with his heraldic standard being the Digitus Impudicus. Bloody brilliant.

Knowing nothing about firearms and not really caring (I also have the same feeling for cars) I am still nevertheless agog with awe.

Ah, yes. We here in The Old Country did that last night/this morning. You Colonials are doing it next week. What what?  Yes, I am a smug bastard...

PP: Changing the settings on every damned chronometer I have twice a year. We have electric lights and are always being told we live in "a 24-hour society" so what's with all this dicking about with moving local time forward or back an hour? Surely any savings in productivity made are lost in the confusion?

If only they'd taken up my offer of ZombieMercyCatgirl nurses when they had the chance...

My parents were naturists (nudists) when I was a kid. Scarred for life right there in my formative years...

PP-

No, no, this is more than a peeve. It's BLOODY TERRIFYING!

There is one (1) person sitting as an MP in the House of Commons with a scientific research background.

Just to repeat that: THE PEOPLE WHO ARGUE AND MAKE THE LAWS HERE IN THE UK HAVE ONLY ONE SCIENTIST AMONGST THEM!!!

WTF? These are the people who decide what we can smoke, drink, eat, medicate with, use as power sources, the whole kit and caboodle, guns, guts and glory and only one of them has any concept of The Scientific Method, data gathering techniques or even what all those buttons on a scientific calculator are for! Bloody Hell. No wonder we're up to our necks in it.

Evidence is in this article here.

Eris help us all...

AP: Here in Scotland we have to serve the minority language of Gaelic meaning there's Gaelic Language telly. And the BBC, bless 'em, broadcast a show called "Cuntus". I kid you not, that's its name. And they list it in national television listings. Always gives me a fit of the giggles.

Naturally I of course am delighted that you are finally feeling better!
*hides dissection kit*
No, I really mean it!
*grimace*

AP: Just heard the Type O Negative cover of Sabbath's "Paranoid". I had no idea that such genius had been unleashed upon the world. Bloody marvellous.

AP: Tonight's episode of Red Dwarf. No spoilers but suffice to say it was a riff on the old "luck virus" gag.

AP2: Hallowe'en Seasonal Event in Anarchy Online allowed me to get my Enforcer kitted out with a Hockey Mask for his Social Tab. Basically he's now a big-arsed Atrox running around in old brown overalls, hockey mask and a humongous two-handed sword. Jason FTW.

AP3: By some miracle my CV has actually been e-mailed to the proper department at the jobcentre meaning that when I see my Personal Adviser in a fortnight I can tell her that security didn't bounce it back, they have the right phone number and e-mail, it's their problem now.

Ultrasound = bone-shattering. Infrasound = crapping yourself/vomiting/liquefaction of internal organs. Howler = messy. Took bloody weeks to clear that test cell up afterwards...

Or "Opus sends a regiment of Zombie mercy catgirls to his house in the middle of the night to take him to Fluke Labs for extensive testing."

Read the signature. That is all, mehums.
44  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / Re: Latest Movie You've Seen on: October 25, 2012, 12:56:42 pm
"Daywatch". Stayed up until four in the morning to see it through until the end but worth every second though it did take me a while to remember what was going on having seen "Nightwatch" years ago. The whole Chalk of Fate plot was well done.

By Goddess! A Möbius Strip wedding ring! Her Ladyship will now know what ring to buy me if/when we get hitched.
