When I explain to my girlfriend about the TZH Forum Crazies she gives me a certain look. And I respond; "These are my people. Do not question it." And, yay, she is epic and puts up with it. Even though she hates zombies, Doctor Who, SF&F and would rather watch "...The Kardashians" than "Mythbusters" or "The Gadget Show". Amor Vincit Omnia. Just wish she was as big a geek as me.

PP: 6 days until the new series of Doctor Who airs. That's not the peeve. I've been a Whovian since I was a kid (since the first episode with Tom Baker aired in fact) (yes, Opus is an old fart). The PP is the first episode is the Daleks. Again. When I was a kid the Daleks were the single most scary thing on the telly bar none. They were intended to encapsulate the mortal (and moral) dread of the Nazis. Now they've become a total friggin' joke. Worse: they've been over used to draw us old school fanfolk in.
I cannot make this clear enough: I could face zombies. I could handle robots. Deadites. Cyborgs. Facehuggers. Vampires. Masked serial killers hacking up screaming teens. Possessed ventriloquist dolls.
But not Daleks. And Davros is a veritable Dark God among SCIENTISTS for utter implacable monomania.
This new episode had better bring back some real visceral terror or I will take steps. And I am not alone in this opinion. If Steven Moffat cocks this up there will be blood in the streets. And sales of jelly babies will plummet.
