3  TZH Discussion / TZH Discussion / Re: Today's Comic on: December 19, 2009, 10:18:53 am
I see three possibilities here:

1. Katie freezes, and probably gets hurt by them.
2. She gets terror-speed and runs.
3. She flips out and attacks them, either resulting in them badly hurt or killed, with serious consequences for her when it's discovered; or with her badly hurt, or both.

Not good.

Why can't people just not be jerks to each other? :C

6  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: What did we learn today? (Apart from that australian wine rocks.) on: December 07, 2009, 02:09:28 pm
Today I learned that I can't bloody read.  I spent like half an hour trying to find where a baseline number was coming from in all our records (five spreadsheets per year for the last eight years), eventually went to my boss for help, and I'd been looking in the wrong bloody box. Argh. Hate spreadsheets that are labelled confusingly and have different factors in the same layout as the current one.

PP: raining every weekend, when I want to do some gardening - and now that I've finally got the tools I needed. Only managed to do an hour of jungle clearance today before it started peeing down.

AP: being woken by a purring cat instead of a blaring alarm clock, and then having chocolate cake for breakfast instead of rushing to get ready for work C:

AP: yesterday, the head of the quality and calibrations departments called me into his office to discuss my training and future plans. He said they've been really pleased with the quantity and quality of work I've been doing ... and pretty much asked if I'd like a job when I've finished my training :3

Related PP: another 30 months to go before I've finished my training :Smiley

15  General Discussion / Random Stuff / Re: ADMIT IT! (Part dos/deux/two/2/doo) on: November 19, 2009, 04:56:39 pm
I admit that I don't have a Facebook (or blog, or Twitter, or Myspace, or anything of the sort), but I am considering getting one just to find out what the hell you guys are going on about. Any recommendations?
