AP: I have an interview with the sheriff's office tomorrow morning. I'm excited, but I also can't think of the last time I was this nervous.

Call of Duty Ghosts
I'd really like to know why I bought this game. I don't even really like Call of Duty. No matter how much I play it I can't get any better. It took me like three days on Halo to get to a point where I can actually get more than 15 kills consistently, but on CoD? lol nah
I guess it was either CoD or Battlefield and I'll drink a radioactive bleach and ammonia cocktail before I give EA money for one of their bullshit "access codes" they make you buy to play online with a used game.

It's not a common occurrence in most parts of the southern US, so we aren't as prepared for it as the north. Even those of us who are prepared have trouble because we have to deal with the majority who aren't on the roads, and that is pretty much a huge clusterfuck.

This, and it's made all that much worse by the people who have next to no experience in icy/snowy conditions and overestimate how difficult driving on the roads are. Snow tires and chains aren't even a thing down here, either.
But it's been in the 60's the past few days so maybe we won't have to worry about anymore severe winter weather.

PP: I think I broke my tailbone when I tried to swing out of the van the other day at work and I landed on my ass. At first I thought it was just bruised but it has not gotten any better in the past three days and sometimes hurts more.

That looks exactly like Atlanta did two weeks ago. Holy shit it was a nightmare. The thing that cracks me up the most is that people think they can't survive three days without five gallons of milk and ten loaves of bread so that shit was CLEARED OUT at all the grocery stores. And then when we got that ice last week the same thing happened. Where I live the roads didn't even freeze over, at least not to a point they were unsafe.
Good job, confederacy. You are a credit to the union and a disaster prepardness example for the rest of the country to follow.

PP: Lost control of my car in the snow and ended up in a ditch. No big deal...I was five minutes away from home and there was no damage done. Called my dad to come pull me out, and he ended up pulling my front bumper off.

ERRBODY CRASHIN ERR ERRBODY CRASHIN
PP: Insurance adjuster still hasn't called me and I have to return the rental on Monday

PP: Mom decided to do me a favor and move my rental out from under the magnolia tree beside the driveway because "it was starting to creak" and she was afraid it might fall on it. Where'd she move it? To the middle of the yard, where it is now stuck in the mud. The kicker is I got the extra coverage; if a tree fell in it it'd be a minor annoyance, at worst.

Playing through New Vegas for the trillionth time. Had to restart because I played Dead Money and got to a point where it was impossible for me to make any progress because of low health and ammo. And also Dead Money at 3 AM with all the lights off gives me the heeby jeebies.

AP: Things that do not discourage me from getting in accidents: getting to ride around in a fully loaded 2014 Chevy Malibu for a week, for FREE

If I understand it right, and I may not, I don't think the at-fault party's insurance company is allowed to write off the victim's vehicle unless it's just flat out not repairable at all. So, hopefully things will work out for you!

Car accidents suck :/

I think they can if the repairs exceed the vehicle's book value which my truck isn't worth anywhere near the book value so I might be better off it they just total it.
What would be nice is if they would mark it totaled but let me keep it, like Allstate did with my uncle's car. They just wrote him a check for the value of it, although that might be because they couldn't find the parts not because it was unrepairable/expensive. But that was Allstate, and the company I'm dealing with is Nationwide who we've dealt with before with less than desirable end results.

PP: Car accident, yay! Lady did a U-turn at an intersection into my lane and I couldn't stop and hit her. 'Bout to get a free left front quarter panel, headlights, rental car, and maybe some pain and suffering courtesy of Nationwide insurance  He love you long time
That is, assuming they don't total my truck, which I guess is possible considering it's only worth about $2k and I'm not sure how much 1997 Chevy S10 quarter panels go for these days

AP: Xbox came a day earlier than it said it would.
My tag is chiefnocahoma92 in case anyone still plays anymore. I was gonna necro the thread for it but it's been dead for a year and a half do I decided against it

I sold my 360 for a few hundred bucks with all of its games not long ago actually.

My initial plan was to find someone doing that. There were so many people on Craigslist selling their systems and game collections for $200-$300 but I got impatient because doing that would have required waiting until next week when I got my next check. Whateva tho, I do what I want.

AP: Bought an Xbox 360 as a happy 13th birthday present to me Grin
It's just that it's 8 years late
Xbox 360 S and Forza 4 for $84. I think I done good

PP: Hangover. Christ, my head is going to kill me.

Happy belated National Hangover Day  Grin
I wanted to die yesterday. I woke up around 11 am, ten hours after my last drink, and I was still pretty drunk.

PP: Mom used my computer when I was out getting lit up for New Year's Eve and when I came home I had a pain in in the ass bug that took me until 5 AM to get rid of.

PP #2: It's more than a week later and my sisters are STILL doing nothing but watching Netflix. It takes like 90 seconds to load a fucking webpage now. I'm not kidding when I say I might wait until they go to bed and fling the Roku in the lake. Is it possible to DDoS one of those things?
15  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: December 29, 2013, 05:22:42 pm
PP: Hooked up the Roku box to the TV in the living room. Worst mistake I've ever made. All my sisters have been doing for three days is watching Netflix, which is MURDERING the bandwidth to the point that nobody else can do anything on the internet because it's so slow. The most annoying part is that most of the time it's just background noise to them, they're not actually paying attention to it. I go to shut it off but they get super pissy despite not actually watching it, and I'm the one who catches flak from my parents.
