PP: Went to go to the bathroom this morning. Went in right after my dad got out. It. Smelled. Like. DEATH.

AP: Pleasant surprise at work when I showed up and the girl I like was working, rather than the girl who was originally schedule.

AP #2: She broke up with her boyfriend.

AP #3: Auburn beat Ole Miss. Best game of the season. Now we're bowl eligible.

I second three of those grumbles with another grumble, which are "Sexy Back," "Numa Numa," and "You Are a Pirate"

I admit that I wish I could dance like Crazy Loop in the "Crazy Loop" video by Crazy Loop.

I admit that I am listening to "Apologize" by OneRepublic and am totally ashamed of myself. What would my friends think?
Wait, who cares? Piano+beat=epic win.

I don't hate the country. I hate the little scumbags who do that kind of stuff. They deserve nothing less than to have the shit beat out of them.

Last year, I think, there was a news report about two kids--19 and 20 years old--kidnapping a 6-month-old puppy, putting it in an oven, and watching it as the poor thing baked to death. The assholes recorded it and showed it to neighborhood kids.

I admit--unashamedly--that I was close to tears when I saw that.

However, it's kinda sad that I have more compassion for an animal than I do for people. You hear about someone being stabbed to death. Wow that sucks. A child is killed. Aww, man, that really blows. A 100% innocent animal--especially a puppy or kitten--is maliciously and brutally murdered. WHAT IN THE HELL IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!

See how I made the death of an animal seem so much worse than that of a person? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't regret it, I just think it strange.

I can't stand to hear about cases of animal abuse. It hurts too much. I despise the ASPCA commercials because the animals are so sad, so hurt, and just want someone to love them. Instead, they were beaten, neglected, maimed, and, in too many instances, killed. That's a miserable way to die, I just know it.

I can't imagine what would have happened to my dog if we hadn't taken him in. It was pretty clear he'd been abandoned (not neglected or abused, just dropped off and left to fend for himself) and we almost threw him out. Whenever he's being a royal pain in the ass, I think, he could have been dead on the side of the road.

Unfortunately, that's the reality for many animals. Dead because no one cared enough.

PP: My sister has pink eye. We both have contacts. Ten bucks says I get it, too. AND my glasses haven't been updated in, oh, 5 years and are absolutely worthless.

We all have them--songs that we listen to, but wouldn't want it to be a widely known fact.

So get it out in the open. Songs you like but wouldn't necessarily tell your friends about them.

I admit 2.0 that one of my favorite songs is Timbaland's remix of OneRepublic's "Apologize." I like the original, too, but I prefer the remix.

I also admit 2.0 that I thoroughly enjoy listening to The Fray, especially "You Found Me."

And, the biggest of them all, I admit 2.0 that Billy Ray Cyrus' "Ready, Set, Don't Go" did not make me absolutely cringe when I heard it on the radio.

Marilyn Manson's cover of "This is Halloween"

I'm not a fan of Marilyn Manson at all, but this is the alpha cool.

I admit that seeing "LOL BUTTER 2.99" on the sign for the Price Rite always makes me smile, even though I know what it really stands for.

I admit that I lol'd at that.

O U C WAT I DID THAR

AP: Saw a rainbow this morning. I knew it was gonna be a good day.

Whenever that happens to me, I just flick on all 6 of my Jeep's front lamps and give them something akin to staring into the sun. They usually get the message.

See, I wish I could do that, but in my dad's truck, the high beams don't really get brighter. They just shift upwards so you can see farther into the darkness. It's a cool feature, but pretty much useless in retaliation against someone whose high beams are BLARGH BRIGHTNESS
1871  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: October 28, 2009, 08:51:02 pm
PP: People who don't turn their high beams off when they meet someone on the road, ESPECIALLY on a very narrow road when we are both driving very large trucks. I met a guy on a narrow road downtown and he didn't turn his high beams off (there was no reason to turn them on). He was driving a Dodge Ram, I a Chevy Avalanche. There was no room for error.

PP: My router and, in effect, my internet going an hero temporarily, about every 15-20 minutes.

Oh Lawdy, @ that. Like when someone asks you why you weren't at something and they say "That's not an excuse."

Uhh, wtf, yes it is. It's the reason I wasn't there, so get the hell off my back. Our sergeant always does that.

"Why in the HELL weren't you at drill practice?"
"I was in a coma for six weeks."
"THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENOUGH EXCUSE, I WANT A BETTER ONE, DAMMIT!"

I'm not sure if that's what you were alluding to, but it's how I understood it.

As for driver's license, yes, yes you do. Because when you get it, people will start asking for rides, your parents will make you go to the store every twenty minutes because now they don't have to do it, and you'll be expected to take care of yourself rather than being babysat.

Nah, just kidding. A driver's license is a shit-ton of responsibility, but it's so worth it. I can't imagine not having my license and car. If I lost my car, I'd probably die.
1873  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: What did we learn today? (Apart from that australian wine rocks.) on: October 27, 2009, 05:27:12 pm
Today I learned that Charlie Harper (Two and a Half Men) was raised Episcopalian. I am also. Seems like whenever someone mentions my particular denomination of Christianity, it's the punchline to a joke. Not laughing AT us, it's just that's what's used. I dunno. Doesn't matter me, just an observation.

Today I also learned that the faggot who was supposed to stay in my hotel room at our overnight drill meet but left because his mother pulled him off the team (which I was thrilled to learn) is coming back. If my friend's girlfriend (who is making the room list) puts him in my room, I am going to end them both. I know if she does it, it'll be just so she can piss me off.

TIL I learned Candlejack likes chicken sal

"Heaven's a Lie" by Lacuna Coil. One of my new favorite bands. Makes me think of a combination of Within Temptation and Nightwish, but less of a fantasy sound.

Texting is fine as long as it's at an appropriate time. Appropriate times include: in the middle of class, a movie, prom, a date, etc.

HAHA, just kidding! Class, I can understand, even though it's still against the rules.

One night, my friend and I went to see a movie (Zombieland, no less) and he was texting. During the previews, I was just like, wtf. But when he was texting during the movie itself, I knocked it out of his hand. He was like "What in the hell?" and picked it back up. The second time, I just grabbed it and stuck it in my pocket.

The same friend and another friend made a video confronting the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXdtAQu6GbM
The one I went to the movies with is the one on the right. He DEFINITELY has a problem with his phone. The audio is shit, but whatever.

With that said...

PP: People who absolutely forget how to drive when it starts raining. There was a wreck in front of my school today, and I almost got in two accidents, neither of which would have been my fault.
