I tried reading "The Redneck Manifesto" by Jim Goad, but it's kind of a hard read. I can't keep my mind on it.
So I started on "Beer Blast" by... uhh... that one guy. I can't remember his name. Anyway, it's a really amusing, eye-opening story about the brewing industry. It starts with a history of the different types of beer in America, all the failed brands, and how big names--like Miller, Budweiser, Coors, and others--got to where they are, and how they've been challenged by smaller brands such as Heineken, Corona, and Sam Adams. It's a little dated--written in 1996, I believe--so the figures aren't accurate. But it's still pretty relevant.
The author was the advertising executive for the company that imported Heineken before it was taken over by Heineken US. He tells how Jim Koch (founder of Sam Adams) isn't the nice guy that he seems like he is in his commercials. He took some cheap shots at Heineken by taking advantage of his incredibly small per-barrel production.
It's a good book for anyone who likes reading about wars going on inside of an industry.

Blind Guardian - Valhalla
Winner. We have a winner here. That's one of my favorite Blind Guardian songs, third behind The Bard's Song and Mirror Mirror.

I've listened to some stuff from it, and I really like what I've heard. It has the feel of what they put in to Unia, but the music itself is more like what was on their earlier albums, like Reckoning Night, which is one of my favorites.
"Flag in the Ground"=complete and total success
