this is basically exactly what I am doing.
The lady doesn't like the idea of me working 4 nights a week, but if that's the case, then so be it. HOWEVER! DO YOUR WORST, ADVERSITY! I AM A SCHOLAR OF YOUR DEFEAT!!
Hell, four nights a week ain't bad, and there's a good chance you wouldn't be working more than six hours a night, at most. A standard shift at the restaurant I work at is six hours. A bunch of people work less than that, and very few work more and only if they've specifically asked for it.

PP: I'm gonna be 20 in another couple months and I'm stuck at home with no job being depressed. What am I going to do?
Protip: go to every restaurant near you--literally all of them--and apply for a job as a dishwasher. Trust me when I say that, for the most part, most dishwashers don't last long at all. So if they're not looking for one at the moment you apply, they'll be looking for one in the near future. The place I worked at last fall had four diswashers, me and three other guys. Two got fired, and the only reason they didn't fire a third was because he was a roommate/close friend of the kitchen manager. Being a dishwasher is barely a step up from being unemployed, but it's something, and many places pay them better than minimum wage because it's such a rough job. And if you're not a shithead, the rest of the kitchen staff will like you because the kitchen staff appreciates and understands the kind of shitty job a dishwasher has. In addition, you could eventually become a cook if you pay attention to what goes on in the kitchen, or a server if you prove you have the personality and work ethic, and both of those jobs pay a good bit better. Hell, even if you just move up to busser it's an improvement because in a lot of places servers have to giver a certain percentage of tips with the bus boys. At the restaurant I worked at, bus boys could go home with $500 on the busiest nights.

But The Walking Dead starts up again on the 10th... or can't you get it?
omygodomygodomygod yes and I'm so excited. I've never been so excited about a tv show. But I still miss sports that I actually enjoy. About four nights of the past week I've had dreams about baseball because I'm maybe literally dying without it.

AP: Chicken and yellow rice for dinner, and by God it was delicious. Got the chicken seasoned just right, and the stock was so delicious I almost wish I had saved it instead of cooking the rice in it. Almost.
AP #2: New grocery store opened up in town, and for the most part it's somehow cheaper than Wal-Mart, which is the only other grocery store in town.

PP: People who can't sit through an entire meal without getting up for a cigarette. Or two, or three. My dad has been smoking for 30+ years and even he can sit through an hour or longer meal without feeling the need to step outside in the middle of it for a smoke, whereas my roommate got up four times to smoke in the hour and a half we were at the bar for my birthday.
PP #2: My roommate lately. He's one of my best friends but his whole lazy, disgusting, foul-smelling existence has been pissing me off lately.

PP: Been sitting in the library for two hours and have yet to get anything accomplished. All I have to do is write a two-page paper critiquing an academic article, but I can't find one I care enough about to critique.
PP #2: 'Bout to have a serious discussion with my roommate about getting internet at our house. It's going to result in him either seeing that it's not that expensive and agreeing to pitch in, or it's going to devolve into a shouting match about how lazy he is and how pushy and uptight I am. More than likely the latter.

AP: spring semester. It's the best time of year for picking up freshmen girls. They've gained weight, are still hot as shit, but are feeling insecure because of the weight they gained in the fall so they love any attention at all they get from guys, specially upperclassmen.
AP 2: why yes officer I have been drinking this evening, why do you ask?
