I admit that I wish I could be Koolaid Man for one day, just so I can bust through walls in my school and scream at the top of my lungs, "Oh Yeaaaaaaahhhh!" It would be very lulzy, to say the least.

Agreed, Yut. I've tried the demo out and have decided that it isn't a game worth buying yet. Not saying I will do illegal actions to get it, just that I would rather return to L4D, if I ever had it.

Olivia remembered her training well, but was always cautious about heights, more so in a hovering helicopter that is being buffeted by rain and wind. She slung her rifle on her back and slowly moved down the rope with enough care to not look down too much. She hit the deck at an unexpected time and almost slipped when the wind hit her off balance on the wet deck. Easily regaining her balance and walking away from the rope she smiled uneasily and thought, This is already startin gto look like a bad mission. She equipped her pistol and waited for the rest of the team to meet up.

Olivia took in everything the briefing officer had said and remembered key points. Once the briefing was over, the newer recruit, Jocke, as Olivia recalled, asked a question about going in alone. As it was quickly denied, the team started to head or their rooms to get their gear and do some things before they left. After filling her mouth once more, Olivia left and headed back to the infected barracks.

Once there, Olivia grabbed her only pistol and bolt-action rifle, several boxes of ammunition for each gun, her various predetermined gear and several more batteries and a torch, since she didn't doubt that the ship has been out of power and the internal lights no longer work. After getting her gear all set out, she headed towards the helicopter pad.

Once there, Olivia saw Nils, Serge and Jocke, waiting. Olivia sat down besides Jocke and used a wash cloth to dry her rifle and clean her sidearm. Olivia, just realizing her silliness in bringing a scoped bolt-action rifle on a trip to a cargo ship is practically worthless, cusses under her breath. Gah, so stupid! This thing will just be worthless on a boat. Ah, oh well, it's better to just bring it along, I bet. Olivia thought. She nervously smiled downwards while cleaning her firearms, silently hoping that no one would notice or care.

I'm pretty sure I did something to make Ma'am chuckle, but I don't know what...

The three persons before all knelt to their feet, with Aerok sweating feverishly, and bowed their heads.

Jackal spoke up," Yes, Your Greatness. No one will stop us, or you, while we have you to follow. You have my word and my fellow travelers' words."

The three stood up, and while Jackal kissed the still held-out sword of Crriccthulu, Aerok covered the broken part in his mask with the hood of his robes. Jackal and Terracticus grabbed their belongings returned to them, and the three walked across the sand dunes beach to the still working group.

"My friends, we have been accepted into Criccthulu's legion. Continue preparing the shelters, and possibly dig a bit down, if you can, Armedshrew. We need all of the precautions and defense measures needed. To add on our defenses, we will cut trees down and create a wooden keep. It may not sound promising or grand, but it will be once we enchant wood and stone together to protect ourselves. Get to work, quickly. We may not have that much time left."

Everyone returned to work after listening to their leader. Aerok went to his own section, slowly enchanting sapphires. His forehead still seared with pain, and he would always feel as if Criccthulu himself would be watching him, ready to strike out if Aerok made the selfish decision.

Hehe, the cargo ship reminded me that my dad used to work as a merchant marine on various container ships. >.>;

But don't worry, he's long retired. XD

As Olivia waited for a response from Serge, a dry towel appeared on the corner of Olivia's vision. Olivia turned to look at who was handing her a towel and saw the newer member, Jocke, on the other end. Since Olivia could still feel the water soaking through her jacket, she took it.

"Thanks, Jocke. That's kind of you, but it wasn't that necessary."

With the towel, Olivia used friction to dry her wet clothes.

PP: Waking up at 5 AM every week day. Don't worry, HK, it's not that bad if it's a routine kind of thing.

Same as Yut. I also agree with all the flaming L4D fans that say Valve should just add more DLC for the current game. The game will basically be more of the same stuff, just different places, characters and enemies. Maybe different plot points or there actually is a story (OMGnowai!), but I guess we have to wait. So far, it seems like the same stuff in the last game.

((OOC: This is totally making me think of Knights Of The Old Republic's tests and puzzles right now.))

Aerok stood still, but his mind shrank. It was difficult for him to think; what could every man need? Air? Life? Sustenance? Aerok was confused. He had no idea where to turn to to look for the answer. Could it be blood? Oxygen, which is a part of air, fuels blood, which in turn fuels man...

Aerok cursed himself. His thinking has always been askew, and thinking on the dot never was his strong suit. Air seemed like the most logical choice, but blood was too. It could go either way, Aerok was thinking, but which one?

"Blood. Every man needs blood."

At the touch of the brand, Aerok screamed in pain and terror. Almost taking to flight, he stopped and stooped to the ground, holding his forehead. At first he was ashamed that he had failed in his thinking. Then he was ashamed that he did not know the answer. Aerok had always been taught that gold was important to everything, as it gave power to those who had great amounts of it. But now, that thinking was wrong. If Aerok would not be able to answer this riddle correctly, he would fail his now Brothers and Sisters. As he ignored the pain, Aerok thought momentarily.

As Aerok was brainstorming, Jackal was almost surprised at the happenings, but he knew no action may need to be taken. He and Terracticus took their respective journal and sword. Jackal knew what his deepest desire was: one day, Jackal hoped to rule this world, differently from what his ancestors and race had done. He hoped the same for his followers, as they too had their homes taken and their people murdered each other race. Terracticus wished nothing except for great power, maybe even near immortality. All his life he had wished to be very old and to still be strong in his age.

Jackal went forth to the sword, but before his lips braced the sword, Aerok spoke up.

"Wait. I know what is the most valuable treasure to man."
With his forehead branded with the shape of what seemed to be himself, everyone awaited his answer.
"The most valuable treasure to all men is completing their goals. There is no better feeling in the world than when one finds true love, or their soul mate. Nothing is better than doing something great for all, if you so please. Or, if there is no greater thing than completing your most wildest dreams, even in death."

Aerok waited for The Great Devourer's decision, hoping not to be smite. But if he was to be killed, then and there, Aerok would promise himself to watch over his friends in the afterlife, and to start anew. Aerok almost had a gut feeling this wouldn't go well...

Due to the not-so-light drinking the night before, Olivia Kaspriszk had a headache and a queasy stomach. When Olivia woke up, she came to the conclusion that she wouldn't drink alcohol until the next mission after this. She showered slowly, trying to ignore her headache and sick stomach while doing so. After putting on her clothes, Olivia headed to the breakfast area for zombie hunters. Her cheap rain jacket leaked slightly through the heavy rain, but that helped to nullify Olivia's aches. Once she entered the room, she first saw Nils and Serge then beamed brightly once seeing worthwhile food. With her mouth savoring, she took a larger sized plate and put on extra helpings on the potatoes, meat, eggs and added a couple servings of the normal food. She took her plate to Serge's table and sat across from him.

"Good morning, Serge. I'm surprised the cooks decided to make all of us something special today, but I'm glad for it. Too bad that it's practically pouring, eh? Kind of feeling anxiety for going on a mission on this day."
