31  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: October 31, 2011, 08:48:09 pm
It's a topic which comes up pretty often. And now more:

PP: My friend normally has a total asshole sense of humour, and I think its awesome, but when he talks to his girlfriend he turns...well, into a pansy. Case in point:
Quote
Happy 2 years and 3 months my beautiful bubikens xoxoxo
Because if he talks to her in any other manner, she'll get offended (OH NO!). This is a guy who listens to death metal and doesn't normally give a fuck about anything, but when it comes to his girlfriend he completely changes and it sucks.

AP: We got to dress up to work in Halloween costumes. I came as the Grim Reaper (scythe and all) and got to act in character for most of the night. Most fun night of work yet.

Related sort of PP: There were a few complaints because it was hard to hear what I was saying through the mask, and I apparently scared the shit out of some people, which is kinda funny.

Related AP: I got a free lunch because I was best/worst dressed (best because it was full costume and character, worst because of the complaints).

PP: After effects keeps crashing every five minutes...I'll never get anything done at this rate..

TIL that these guys have the biggest balls on the fucking planet. They do that often and casually.

PP: My new job starts tomorrow, working fridays to mondays. For the first two days, it's 0700-1400. That'd be fine, I'd happily work those hours. Then after that it switches to 1400-2200. That is not so good. Means I'll not be able to go to any of the roleplaying games I'm in, I won't be able to go to the re-enactment training sessions or volunteer at the heritage centre and I'll be seeing very little of my girlfriend. Plus, it's an hour and twenty minutes each way to get there and back. Oh, and by all accounts the work itself is horrible- hot working conditions, few breaks, bastards to work for. And all this for minimum wage. Whoop di fuck.

EDIT- Oh yeah, and I'll be working on both halloween and bonfire night, so no fun for me.
I can get how you feel , I pretty much only work at night time (I didn't ask for it, its how they rostered me), and as I work every weekend it fucking sucks because I never get to go out. And it sucks even more because the nature of my job has me seeing people who do go out while I'm stuck in the same place every weekend, and the rest of the year isn't available for N/A'ing.

PP: Goddammit Uni, central exam period is 21 fucking days, why squeeze all of the damn assessment into three days? It's like they want us to be stressed...
37  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: October 26, 2011, 01:17:09 am
An RTS isn't suppose to have this good of a story.
Eh? Since when? (If it is sarcasm then ignore this)

Well, based on the post you just made, it's the crushing difficulty.
LOL, I didn't realize I mentioned two rage inducing games. My friend's xbox broke, so he decided to lend me a few of his games, Ninja gaiden II just happened to be the one I decided to play.

I'm playing Ninja Gaiden II while I wait for Dark Souls to arrive in the mail. I don't usually play many games anymore, but something about Dark Souls looks very appealing.

Hahaha, America. xP

Minimum wage in Australia is like... $14.25 though. :l
That's only if you're 18 though. Most wages before that are in the 7.50-11.50 p/h range, I think that also scales with age (when I worked at Maccers when I was 15 I recieved $8.50 p/h, when I turned 16 I got $9.50 p/h)

PP: My dad's having a 'mid-life crisis', he's moving away for a few months and my parents are potentially gonna divorce..

Don't fuck around with a girl who accepts dates when they're dating someone. They're either not a good girlfriend to their boyfriend, or they're using you.
Yeah, I'm over it already. I'm not going to bother 'chasing' someone who has a boyfriend anyway, I did that once and it sucked.
Did she know it was a date? I have coffee with my guy friends all the time. Though they do all already know that I have a boyfriend ahead of time so I guess I figure when they ask me to have a coffee with them I assume they mean just to catch up.
I didn't actually tell her it was a date, but I thought the implications were pretty obvious; apparently not.

PP: Lacking the flexibility to just spontaneously decide to go out to a bar or club on the weekends like my friends do. Have to plan two weeks ahead. Restaurants suck.

AP: The coffee date went well...

Related PP: Except she has a boyfriend which means I've probably been friend-zoned aaaaaaaaahhhhhh
Although it does hassle me a little why she would accept a date when she has a boyfriend  Undecided
