Don't worry, you're new so they're not gonna give you a lot of shifts until later. When I first started working at the restaurant I only had two shifts per week, I wanted a lot more work than I was getting. After two months that number suddenly turned to five shifts a week - which was great until it started interfering with Uni too much, so I asked to get less shifts...

The point is, patience.
