Oops. Link is sorted now. I don't see Bruce's age as a barrier. I'm actually excited that it is being developed by the trio that were involved with the original Evil Dead.

Sam Raimi announced at Comic-Con that he and Bruce Campbell are working on a TV adaptation of The Evil Dead. Campbell, Raimi, and Raimi’s brother Ivan — who created the franchise together more than 30 years ago — are apparently working on the show’s script, with Campbell set to reprise his role as series hero, Ash Williams.

If Bruce stars in this, then I think it may just work.

Saw this last night. Haven't laughed as much at a zombie film since Shaun of the Dead. The chase scene with the zimmers was brilliant.

Superb film and Richard Briars last work before he died.

This has finally been released. Anyone seen it yet?

I'm awaiting a DVD copy arriving from Amazon as sadly it isn't playing at any cinema within 50 miles of here.

No no no......don't get me wrong, I love brain-dead slasher films, particularly on a Friday night accompanied by booze. But no, while Cabin in the Woods is partly a slasher film, but it's also about slasher films and particularly why most horror films are made to a different formula around the world. Trust me it's worth watching.

It also has in it characters which are a homage to creatures from at least 100 classic horrors (I assume as close as they could make them without being sued). There are probably more, but it will require a DVD and a pause button to spot them all. I did particularly like Fornicus, Lord of Bondage and Pain (see below).

Hello to Jason Isaacs!

Cabin In The Woods - saw it last night. Whilst it's not strictly a zombie movie, it is most definitely a horror flick and does have zombies in it.

Anyone else seen it? I thought it was bloody good. It's most definitely not your run of the mill, brain-dead slasher film, although seeing as it's co-written by Joss Whedon that shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

Oh and the best line:
"That's not fair! I had zombies too! "

"Yes, you had "Zombies." But this is "Zombie Redneck Torture Family." Entirely separate thing. It's like the difference between an elephant and an elephant seal."

God darn it, the UK release has been  delayed for about 6 weeks. This means I have to wait until June to see it. And after the good Doctor Kermode saw it and said it is actually not bad.

There needs to be a 5th suit - axes - to cut her head off to ensure she stays dead.

Laibach soundtrack? Go on, tell me they're playing their version of Queen's "One Vision"! It is mandatory!

I was thinking with Achtung or Opus Dei, but you're right, if One Vision isn't on the soundtrack it damn well should be.

Not only has it been funded, it has been made and the world premiere is at the Berlin Film Festival next month. Let's just hope someone likes it enough to give it a distribution deal!

I still drop in here occasionally, but there seems to be very little forum activity these days.

At the start he's walking (shambling) fairly normally. At the end he's struggling to walk and finally collapses, because whilst he may be mobile, he's dead, and his body is still decomposing. At least that's what I took to be the point of the film.

Just found this on Youtube. It's a short film about a bloke who wakes up as a zombie in a Penguin Suit.

The ending offers a good explanation for why we get both fast and slow zombies.
