[RAPED]

My reply after I saw Angels and Demons in theaters: Ron Howard just RAPED all my hopes and dreams.

The book was a million times better. They kept the very minimal plot there and cut out everything else.

They told you the entire plot in the first 5 minutes. Then spent the next 90 mins doing exactly nothing unexpected. Oh look we must cross Rome to get tothis church. We're too ate oh shit well let's run to the nexct one. Too late, oh well onto No. 3 and 4!!!

The parachuting pope was cool but even that couldn't make the film watchable. Now had they had the vatican beseiged by zombies I might change my mind. Actally that might work, it has a huge circular wall all round it, plus loads of sniper vantage points and cool underground places. I vote for Ian Mckellen to play the pope. Thou shall not pass!!!!!

It's OK. Jeff Bridges is good in it, but it's not as good as the trailer suggests.

Hahahahahahahaahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously???

I mean really, I didn't think they could make a worse film than the D'Vinci code, but boy was I wrong.

I can see how some people would like it and think it is very clever, but I found it very much I found 2001. Yawn!!!!

I never got why everyone thought 2001 the film was so great. It's so damn slow. The novel on the other hand is excellent, yet was written after the film. Seriously, Kubrick made some great films but 2001 is great only if you can't sleep.

I don't even understand Saw. Didn't the main villain die like 3 movies back?

Jigsaw lived at the end of Saw I, but was supposed to be dying at the end of II.

In III he turns out to be not dead but is apparently dying and training his protege Amanda. They both die at the end.

At the start of IV they find his body but there is a tape in the stomach hence he manages to be in that one too.

By V they had given up even trying to come up with ways to keep Jigsaw in it and another protege, Hoffman takes over.

Same in VI.

Apparently two more are being written. I have no idea why, they really are flogging a dead horse now. Nobody gives a shit about Jigsaw, he was a shit character anyway.

I posted this on Live Journal a while back. Dr_Evil and I are of the considered opinion that it shall either be genius or crap. Either way port and cider will be needed. 'Tis tradition. *nod*

I can confirm it is indeed awesome. When the DVD eventually comes out this shall get a second viewing complete with port.

Just survived a weekend of movies, port and cider all of variable quality with Opusfluke. Movie highlights were:

Dead Snow - awesome Swedish zombie flick. Nazis, zombies and a snowmobile, What more could you possibly expect?

Repo - The Genetic Opera - And the Zydrate goes in a little glass vial........

Flight 666 - the Maiden boys on tour with huge bloody toys and of course an awesome soundtrack.
