PP: Ugh. Got my wisdom teeth, all four of them, removed this morning at 10. My face is swollen, my jaw hurts.
AP1: My mom is doing a really great job of taking care of me.
AP2: I have jello, juice, water, lovely pain meds that let me sleep, ice, and good anti-nausea pills.
AP3: Mom's staying home to take care of me, and I really love her for everything she does for me.
PP2: I really miss pancakes.
Felt lucid enough to let everyone know, so yeah. See you guys in a few days most likely.

Happy birthday Gray! Perhaps now you enjoy the taste of alcohol?
Holy cow everyone! Thanks! And no, I still do not enjoy the taste of alcohol. And yes Amadeus, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Are there a lot of problems with Kony 2012 and the Invisible Children charity? Fuck yes. However, do you see any other organizations putting out a decent and well put together video to inform the masses? No. Does it probably misrepresent some things? Yes, but what doesn't these days? It's drawing attention to a major problem. It's making kids who usually only care about texting and what they'll be wearing to the prom see that there are truly bad things happening out there that we don't know about. That sometimes we won't get to know about unless we dig.
One person against the IC campaign said that it was trying to solve the problem like it was black and white. Like Kony is the only person in Africa who commits genocide and acts of atrocity. It's a well known fact that countries in Africa and a lot of other countries in other nations have problems with megalomaniac dictators who are basically the worst of the worst. However, should we stop trying to raise awareness because there are a whole lot of other people out there doing the same thing? I choose to look at this as a stepping stone, the first step towards getting these bastards out of power and putting them in the hands of courts to try and sentence them for their crimes.
I only shared the video, and yes, I watched it, because I wanted people to know that this was happening and I want this guy to be caught. Will there be others like him? Most definitely. But do I hope that we will do the same and try to stop them as well? Yes.
