Something tells me Chuck isn't as forgetful of his old self as he's made out to be. Which leads me to point out that there is a rather obvious counterexample to Sammy's statement that "These things aren't people anymore", the person she was directing that sentence to.
Or does the zombie evolution go something like this:
Human (person) || || (gets infected) \/ Infected (still a person) || || (dies) \/ Zombie (NOT a person) || || (super awesome serum therapy) \/ Charlie (person?)

which is why he said it tasted as bad as it looked.
I thought that was Mandy who said that? After rereading the "Heeerreee's Charlie" scene, it seems eating normal food does nothing for him. Meaning he can eat it, but it doesn't contribute any nourishment like the infected-tissue+blood smoothie does, but at the same time doesn't harm him either, so I s'pose he can eat people food to maintain his cover.

Fun fact... Gregs avatar pic was taken during the wedding festivities.
If I didn't see it with my own two eyes... Dr Jekyll: Mr Hyde: Back on topic: It's nice to see the team gearing up for some action again, it's been a while since I've seen a zombie's head asplode/get whacked with a shovel/brick flail.

If they can smuggle in cans of food, they're not very thorough.
I thought they broke in to the quarantine area to get their "party supplies". *rereads comic* Though like modern day counterfitters, there's a problem with getting your illegal money into circulation. Even if you stuff a couple of thousand dollars between yer tits people are gonna wonder why you all of the sudden have a couple of thousand dollars more than you did yesterday. Regardless of what they use for currency, I still think they have currency of some sort, given that Sam bought a hot chocolate and a rum and coke from a streetside vendor.

I agree with Greg, why wouldn't they use money? It's a simple universal thing that has value in every situation. You might not be able to pay for your engine repair or hunting vest with chickens (or other bartering services). All imports from the wastes are screened, so any money they bring back goes straight into the government's coffers. Pretty much every human civilization has had some form of universal currency, be it shiny rocks, or pieces of paper.

Lets hope she doesn't have the Z-virus o.O Get better soon!
EDIT after reading the news: Dang, you Canucks get screwed when it comes to immigration. The Mexicans just have to prove they can jump a fence and survive a few days in the desert...
On the comic: All I have to say is "Sha-WING!" As far as I'm concerned, the image on the TZH main page changed and it wasn't a previously posted image, therefore it was an update, and your 4+ year streak is conserved.

I know this is a necro, so apologies for that, but I've been waffling long enough and I want a signed book. I have one major question, and it involves the hypothetical TZH Volume 2. Would TZH Volume 2 contain chapters 1-??? or will it be chapters 5-???, since chapters 1-4 were in volume 1?

Let me set the scene: The group is in deep shit, running for their lives. It's midday, but with overcast skies, and a light drizzle is falling. Jenny trips and a zombie (hunter?) jumps her. She screams, Milo turns around and sprints back to save her. He tackles the zombie off of her, shoots it in the head, but gets bit in the process. Before he dies, he starts to say something (professing his love for Jenny?) but he turns before he finishes. She shoots him in the head, and runs for her life, tears streaming down her face. - 99.99 points. In my mind, Milo's final mission gets it's own chapter, to give this the requisite number of panels. Is it sad that I can actually visualize these comic panels in my head, and the dialogue for each character?
Something involving Charlie - .01 point
