Assuming Jasper will, for now, get away with the fiction that Milo was killed by zombies, Jenny blaming Charlie for Milo's death would then come simply as a function of his past existence as a zombie.

Speaking of which, can anyone link back to the comic that started the "why does Jenny blame Charlie for Milo's death" discussions?

That I don't know, I got introduced to Dvorak by a friend who liked it because the layout makes it easier to type fast (he can break 120 words per minute) but I never really got into it.  (Other than the use of left because I had a busted flipper.)

Everyone knows that Qwerty was designed specifically to be as slow as possible to type with right?  Because fast typing makes the old school typewriters jam up?  Yea...

If breaking 120 on a Dvorak is impressive, and Qwerty is slow, does that make breaking 120 on a Qwerty more impressive? I'm asking for a friend *cough*.

Your "busted flipper" phrase has me thinking of the Hogan's Heroes episode with the British commando with the busted flipper. Ever see that one?

Hopefully everyone understood that he jumped down from a rooftop and did not fall from the sky o_O

Space Zombies. They're coming for us all. Shocked

(but yes that was clear)

seems more aware then the run o' the mill zombie  Outlaw with an upgrade

That was my thought as well. He seems both disturbingly intact (only visible damage so far is the cut over his eye and bandage on one arm) and disturbingly aware. I'm presuming the arm was bitten but he holed up and died inside. I'm wondering if this is a new type, or just Jenny giving extra personality to a character based on an old friend. I'm also wondering WHY the roaches are dead. It doesn't seem like a fall from that height would kill them. Artistic license, or is there a special storyline reason?

Our new presence looks very intact from behind, other than the bandaged arm. But one assumes dead, based on the spiderwebs. Whether dormant undead or mummified standing up, I assume we shall discover.

That looks like a good hundred or more of them. Probably more. Lot of zombies for an 8-person team to disturb, though if there's no spitters or other specials in the mix, there's plenty of room for evading crawlers.

I am also thinking that is a head rather than a nest, and perhaps the bird is after the stick, which looks like it would make nice nest material. If I remember rightly, the undead don't eat animals?

He's totally not coming back soon. Or ever.

...

I'm saying homeboy gonna die, yo

It could turn out to be something else, but yes, the setup of this page certainly suggests it's his last sight of Jenny. And with the prior pages, it begins to look as if a certain ARC leader may be setting the rebellious Milo up to be killed, with our pal Jasper in place to cover it up. There are still alternate possibilities on that last point, as the dialogue could also work for a pair who are uncertain over choosing a rebellious subordinate for an important mission.

Hmm.

1) If it's a nightmare or a waking nightmare, then it could be someone from her past or a random image.
2) If it's actually occurring, the zombie voice could be Katie hallucinating, as she did when attacked by the guy whose nose she smashed. Corpse may still be just a corpse.
3) If it's actually occurring AND she's actually hearing, then Katie is understanding the zombie rasp, an ability we previously only knew of in Charlie as a half-life.

My personal bet is that the answer is #2. There really is a dead guy gutted and drained of blood, but she's hallucinating the conversation.

I'm going to say this is Maureen turning up for the date she apparetly promised in return for Jasper's help in getting out into the field to look for the team that time they all got in trouble and were late returning.

Hurrr thanks :B
My written scripts definitely hit the meat grinder once they hit the comic, in fact they hardly ever stay the same xD. I wasn't sure what didn't sound right about what same was saying at first-- But now that you pointed out the flippancy, I know what it was Cheesy  He love you long time

*gasps* Jenny liked something I said. I'm just going to sit over here and bask in this for a few minutes.  angel

I also liked that Sam shifted from calling him "Chuck" to calling him "Charlie" when he was trying to understand. It reminded me of a favored passage from one of the books on my shelf, a historical fiction about a Russian kid who escapes a German work camp during WW2 and meets up with an American platoon led by Sergeant "Bull" Cotton. After tagging along with the Americans into a firefight, he was distressed by the cries of a wounded German soldier, and the sergeant called him Pete in comforting him, instead of the usual Russky. "Rusky was the nickname he must expect and accept, most of the time. But when he needed a strong hand and a warm voice to settle him, Bull would call him Pete." Sam and Charlie seem a lot like that. In those moments he needs help to make sense of it all, Sam seems to be the one to provide it.

If the Gutted Hobo wore Jenny's hat the universe as we know it might implode.

Imploded? Not at all.

If in fact the Gutted Hobo wore Jenny's Hat, they would fuse into a new being that perfectly bridged the worlds of the awesome and the dead, ushering in a new era of peace and understanding between zombies and humans.

Right up until Jenny decapitated it with the shovel to get her hat back and all returned to normal.

I'm realing loving seeing a deeper side of Sam through her conversations with Charlie, Jenny. The final dialogue you settled on for the "I don't understand" "Most people dont. And I can't explain it." is SOO much better that the flippant version in the script. It makes her much more human than just the resident hardshell nutcase, yet remains very consistent.
