Hurrr thanks :B
My written scripts definitely hit the meat grinder once they hit the comic, in fact they hardly ever stay the same xD. I wasn't sure what didn't sound right about what same was saying at first-- But now that you pointed out the flippancy, I know what it was Cheesy  He love you long time

*gasps* Jenny liked something I said. I'm just going to sit over here and bask in this for a few minutes.  angel

I also liked that Sam shifted from calling him "Chuck" to calling him "Charlie" when he was trying to understand. It reminded me of a favored passage from one of the books on my shelf, a historical fiction about a Russian kid who escapes a German work camp during WW2 and meets up with an American platoon led by Sergeant "Bull" Cotton. After tagging along with the Americans into a firefight, he was distressed by the cries of a wounded German soldier, and the sergeant called him Pete in comforting him, instead of the usual Russky. "Rusky was the nickname he must expect and accept, most of the time. But when he needed a strong hand and a warm voice to settle him, Bull would call him Pete." Sam and Charlie seem a lot like that. In those moments he needs help to make sense of it all, Sam seems to be the one to provide it.

If the Gutted Hobo wore Jenny's hat the universe as we know it might implode.

Imploded? Not at all.

If in fact the Gutted Hobo wore Jenny's Hat, they would fuse into a new being that perfectly bridged the worlds of the awesome and the dead, ushering in a new era of peace and understanding between zombies and humans.

Right up until Jenny decapitated it with the shovel to get her hat back and all returned to normal.

I'm realing loving seeing a deeper side of Sam through her conversations with Charlie, Jenny. The final dialogue you settled on for the "I don't understand" "Most people dont. And I can't explain it." is SOO much better that the flippant version in the script. It makes her much more human than just the resident hardshell nutcase, yet remains very consistent.

I think if Jenny does hate Charlie over Milo's death, it will be because of the lack of interest zombies have for Charlie. Charlie will be on point for the group (using the new guy to find traps by stepping into them is military tradition, right?), with Milo behind him, and an ambushing Hunter or similar zombie will ignore Charlie, remaining undetected till Milo comes by and it springs on him.

Thus, Milo dead, Charlie not actually at fault but plenty of room for Jenny to blame him.

This very much fits for Sammy. In an odd way, it's a gesture of compassion towards Charlie. Just no compassion for the dead.

As for Milo's death, I haven't seen anyone put my theory forward yet.

I'm going to put a guess in on Hunter due to the lack of Zerker grin another mentioned, though I did think Berzerker at first. But a Hunter springing out of ambush could fit, as well as explaining the lack of any sounds from within when he was listening.

Chuck Norris

Simply the music and words alone should defeat the grue. The picture included will turn it to dust. An actual appearance of Chuck Norris... (trailing off)

In other news:
What would be really cool? If a basilisk zombie froze the entire group except charlie who kills it with his gun and keeps the rest of the group safe until they recover.

True, a Chuck Norris would definitely trump a grue.

And your proposition for Charlie saves the day is interesting. I don't recall whether Basilisks can freeze multiple people; do they have to make eye contact or do you just have to look at their eyes? But it's a very interesting question.

They enter the building. It is very dark. They are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Except Milo. He was eaten first.

I don't know if humanity can survive zombies AND grue. Can you kill a grue with a chainsaw?  Outlaw with an upgrade

I absolutely love all three facial expressions in panel 3, Jenny. Jenny loses a little of her hardness as she watches Milo, and even Sam does as well. Maybe I'm reading too much into the faces, but I get the impression that both admire Milo when he's leading. Charlie still looks out of his element, with an expression of trepidation but not terror. I should really say all 4 expressions, as the bear hat looks determined and ready for action.  Grin
