1  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: May 09, 2014, 11:37:24 am
I finally got around to playing the Dragonfall expansion for Shadowrun Returns.  So far, as much as I loved the original campaign this one outshines it in every regard.  I have no idea why I dragged my feet about getting into this DLC.  It has a much stronger opening story hook and even early on it feels much less linear.  To top it off there is an honest to god team of Shadowrunners you run with which has already added much more depth to the interactions.  (I'm not getting along with the Orc heavy weapons chick even a little bit...)
I absolutely loved the game but felt that the main campaign sadly underused some mechanics (like etiquettes), and was too linear. But the modding tools released with the game gave me great hope for fan-made expansion of the game, I even think that this game is bound to be a classic if the mods are up to the par Smiley
Multiplayer would be awesome though (only thing missing to access to the Arcanum tier :p)

Team Fortress 2, Medic/Pyro/Heavy, mostly the first two
Seconded, even if I don't have TF2 installed at the moment.

For now I'm getting my ass handed to me in Might and Magic X Legacy (awesome game, since Might and Magic VI and VII are easily the games I most played, but X is tuned-based). When I get bored, I check the new ways to get my ass handed to me in FTL Advanced Edition.

TIL I learned how to build a washtub bass... very straightforward but still managed to mess it up ^^'
(on the other hand it didn't cost me anything, only recuperation materials Smiley)

Finished Flowers for Algernon, starting Stalker.

The roguelike bundle is a no-brainer Smiley
Bought The Secret World with some friends, so far I like it but don't really have much time for a MMORPG right now. Trying to beat Space Pirates and Zombies also, in short sessions.

PP : No security force on campus. Second time that someone breaks in the lab this year and they still font give a fuck. This time, it was during the freaking potential investors meeting. A group of aboutten people started to shout things about illuminatis and that our lab was a conspiracy to build missiles and armaments funded by Israelis. These retards then went on mistreat the investors and it went FUBAR... I guess that I won't be doing any additional scientific activities this year....

Rewatching Ghost in the Shell Smiley

AP : May have found a one-month gig as an Android developer (formation included ! Cheesy)... the downside is that I answered the offer only because uni administration sucks and postponed my contract until further notice (at least one month)

Started Brütal Legend Cheesy

PP : Increased aggressiveness against most people I know. Encountering at last success in my professional life has been the trigger for me to stop being the janitor of everyone's life (that is to say, to be the one called every time to fix what's wrong, and still be the one to be criticized)... what I say : stop moping, start kicking ass ! Tongue

Unfortunately, that means parting with most of my so-called "friends", and having one more time to have the role of the bad selfish guy because I can't sacrifice my life being an aide... At last I'm given the occasion to build my life the way I want, so hell with others !

PP : Fecking Android. Tried to tune my sister's phone which was in sheer agony, only to make it worse. Sure, the poor thing was already running like crap, but now there is hardly any word to even begin to describe how slow and buggy it is (maybe a fusion of an episode of Derrick with an ant nest ?)

PP2 : Seriously worried about the state of politics (more like polidicks) in my country. Abolishment of minimum sentences, all-time low popularity for two presidents in a row, unfavorable revisions for the working class, still no punishement for HADOPI enforcers who "just happened" to host infantile pornography... The whole political circus becomes more and more tedious, and most of them look and talk like there's absolutely no light upstairs...

PP3 : The previous tenant left the apartment I'm taking in an horrible state. Like very, very disgusting. I wonder how the hell the estate agency let that one slip and how the hell he managed to trash it that much between the two weeks between my first visit and when I took the apartment. I knew that it was an old apartment, that I had some things to fix (mostly painting), but it didn't bother me then since it was in an a-ok state when I visited it. Nothing broken, but most of the surface is in an "EEEEEEWWWWW" state.

AP : Final presentation for Internship is done, which means... holidays 'till I sign my contract !!!!  Afro
14  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: September 01, 2013, 08:38:31 am
With the end of my internship starts a new era in gaming !!! (well, until my contract)

In no particular order :
  • XCOM : The Bureau. For now I only am in the begining, looks nice, I like the feel of combat.
  • Almost beaten Fist Puncher co-op with a friend. Nice little game, but with its flaws (like they totally messed up the depth xD)
  • Aion, reconnected after a while to see that my guild was still alive and kickin' Cheesy

New X-com expansion is announced for Enemy Unkown.
End-game contents it seems ?

Right now, playing Dishonored : The Knife of Dunwall. I really enjoyed Dishonored, but I wasn't looking forward to play Daud (not really a charismatic person). I finally caved in and tried the DLC, it seems to be a nice expansion of the Dishonored world Smiley
