Quote from: The Outsider, from H.P Lovecraft
So through endless twilights I dreamed and waited, though I knew not what I waited for. Then in the shadowy solitude my longing for light grew so frantic that I could rest no more, and I lifted entreating hands to the single black ruined tower that reached above the forest into the unknown outer sky. And at last I resolved to scale that tower, fall though I might; since it were better to glimpse the sky and perish, than to live without ever beholding day.

I'm actually playing prospector, a sort of roguelike in space.
Even if it's very buggy at some points, it's quite fun.

Except when situation like this happens : I had my full crew of badass space explorers of the dead in their shiny armor zapping space arachnids baddies by dozen with their disintegrators (best weapon of the game), saving space stations and giving epic high-fives to unknown alien species while geting tons of space credits (Summarized.)

...and suddenly, an unknown alien ship appears from nowhere and obliterates my ship in one shot. THE END.

Sorry if my English is very approximative once again.

Now that the first wave of exams is gone,  I played a bit of Anomaly: Warzone Earth, it's a good game so far.

PP : No sleep, monstruous amount of work and I failed 2 out of the 3 exams I had this week (Electronics saved my ass this week).
Even if I validate this semester by pure luck, I'll still have an under-average academic record which will not get me accepted in the formation I want...

Evil Horde - Hangarmaggedon, a good track for non-stop ass-kicking action, from "The Dark Side of Phobos" album, which consists of covers of the epic Doom Soundtrack from various bands (check it out, it's free !).

What. The. Fuck.

PP : Bullshit storm related to my internship...

...but on the brighter side, if all goes "for the best" (that is to say that the professors don't burn me alive during the presentation and I get my semester), I will have some contacts in a lab for a future application (especially my internship responsible, who made good comments at my professors about my hard work)

The internship responsible at the lab was great, but I'm kinda frustrated by his lack of grasp on the reality and heavily frustrated by the lab's extreme lack of funding...

Failing as hard as I can at Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.
  • Made a Kobold Charlatan (Artificer), which I consider to be a balanced stealth-based character. Found the almost-perfect spellbook for my character : the Burglar's Magical Assistant. But of course, despite being descripted as a class with a certain affinity for magic, the Artificer can't learn a single spell... wtf ?
  • Made a Human Preacher (Priest, follower of Zin) for the lulz : found 3 freakings spellbooks but always same problem, this class can't learn any spells. Whatever. I kept preaching at kobolds, goblins until an Orc Priest came up with his folks and owned me.
  • Made a Mummy Priest (a follower of the god of death) still for the lulz : raising armies of undead rats, newt and goblins is cool until a real monsters comes up and owns you.

English classes this afternoon (which consists in sitting in front of a computer with no instructions for three hours straight, I think that explains a lot about my awful english level, and attendance is required) so I played a bit of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (good game for people who like Roguelike games), and played it a bit more at home.
