To answer the question Sir Terry Pratchette has written a number of books, however what really does it is his Disc World series. A set of FIFTY standalone stories on this magic world he created.
The Disc World is a flat disc, that is held up by four enourmous elephants, who themselves stand atop a giant turtle that flies through space. The residents of the Disc World are just amazing and hilarious.
Mort, his fourth discworld book was the first book i remember reading and really enjoying enough to remember, and i am actualy reading another one at the moment. If you ever get a chance pick one up, any of them it doesnt matter, at most youl miss out on a tiny bit of character development and in jokes.
Also death quit his job to become a travel agent.

Granted, unfortunatly that wish was your last silly mistake, now you have become mister perfect you live the high life for a brief period before people become sick of how much better you are, as your confidence in yourself grows so does their jealousy to what you achieve.
You end up completly alone.
I wish i had a machine that just instantly had the food i wanted in its compartment thing, fresh and warm(or cold if its meant to be)

Granted, you now have a childlike naivety about the entire world. You dont know to look before crossing, or to keep away from things that are hot, or to not put that in your mouth.
I wish i could breath underwater.

PP: I too have been having a hard time peeling myself away from the computer when I should be going to bed. I have to wake up at 5:30am though, so to get a decent amount of rest I really need to go to bed around 11, but that just feels way too early in the night.
PP: ^^^ Similar story here, no actual need to get up but iv gotten in the bad habit of staying up till 5am and not getting up till around 2pm the next day which is just awkward.
