Ah, my bad.

Setting's history shall be revealed during exposition and gameplay. The important factors are thus:

Characters will start play in West Laddra. Currently, West Laddra holds the highest seat of power in the northern continent. The reigning government is a tribunal composed of the heads of the three major families who have the most invested in West Laddra. It's been a problem for the citizens for decades, as the three ruling families are currently the largest crime syndicates in existence. This has lead to an increase in formerly illegal activities, such as slavery, sale of exotic beasts, and cultivating of dangerous magical substances. The families keep the peace through bought-off mercenaries and trained family enforcers. Unfortunately, most of the populace don't realize the danger of the tribunal's policies. They're high on the freedom and the enormous amounts of currency flowing into the country.
West Laddra is known for its export of precious metals and gems, as well as an enormous pool of talent in the studies of magic.

Characters would preferably be one of the standard PH races, although you're not banned from something more exotic. Pass it by me first and I'll approve or not.

XD Awesome. You remind me of a friend with that cigar.

Even manlier fact: It's grape.

I never saw the appeal of Halo, but I don't know why. I've played all three games to some extent (both multi and singleplayer), and never had any fun with them.

FYI for hopefuls: This is still in the works. A friend of mine is working on a program that will assist greatly with battles and navigation. I hope to see a working prototype by the end of next week.

Me looking useless and a bit disheveled.

Better than Glenn Beck

I think most of us can agree on that.

My History of Games as an Art Form class. Should be fun.

You?

Both. There's good music in both categories, and to think otherwise would be depriving yourself.

Ditto.

Update possibly coming this weekend. I've been on a job hunt. No luck so far, but it's still taking up most of my time.

Thank god they added ragdoll physics. I consider it a necessity, yet they still deprived the first game of that wonderful barrel of pain.
44  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Words on paper in this technological world, reading anything? on: September 26, 2009, 01:35:21 am
I have very particular tastes when it comes to my reading material. Not that it's very highbrow, mind you. Most of my bookshelf consists of Stephen King, Dean Koontz (yes, I don't care if you throw a brick at me), H.P. Lovecraft, and miscellaneous sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. To be honest, I can't stand any other genres. Maybe it's a weakness, but meh. I don't care.

Hard choice. Isn't wakeboarding the one that you can do with the sail? If so, it seems that you'd be able to do that more often than surfing. Meh... end choice, surfing.

Same.
