That just means you're human, Cheez. I feel like anyone who didn't at LEAST feel a little tug in their chest just has no heart.

Anyway, currently playing Wayward Souls. It's a fun little dungeon crawl game on iPad that has been keeping me occupied. I was a little hesitant since it wasn't a free app, but I've been pleased with it so far. It's HARD though. Either that or I just suck at it.

AP: Kind of minor, but it made me smile. I play a bard in my friend's Pathfinder campaign, and through a series of really good performance checks made a few months back, she became a popular singer and celebrity in the country. Last night, we finally wrapped up a long, grueling story arc that required us to get help from another adventuring party and a small army. After all was said and done, we had a huge victory celebration and GM Bro asked us what we planned on doing during the festivities.

Like Corianthe wasn't going to perform.

The entire party came together to make the show a hit. Corianthe sang and played guitar, her cohort, also a bard, was her backup dancer, the rogue did various acrobatics, the ranger and paladin served as security, and the casters used their spells for lighting and special effects, as well as a few uses of ghost sound for backing vocals and instrumental parts. My initial performance roll met the DC for a great performance, but all of the assistance bumped it up enough to exceed the DC for an extraordinary performance. More people will be talking about Corianthe the Nightingale putting on an unforgettable show than our defeat of the evil guild that was kidnapping, enslaving, slaughtering, and experimenting on people.

I fucking love playing bards.

AP: Started the new job yesterday. Having to be there at 6 every morning is kicking my ass, but so far I'm enjoying it.

Walking Dead s2e03...I feel like the cameos from 400 Days were kind of forced and all the trouble I went through to get that perfect ending felt pointless, but overall it was yet another solid episode. I won't spoil it, but there are a few moments that are just so satisfyingly brutal I had to watch them again.

Condolences, Outlaw. I think a lot of people forget that fish are pets and not decoration. Just because you can't cuddle them doesn't make them any less of a beloved pet, especially after caring for them for so long.

PP: I had some drinks with some coworkers tonight, and while it was a good time, I had this lingering dread that comes from knowing that I will very likely be leaving them soon. I may hate that job, but I met a lot of great people.

Follow up AP: Had my interview today, and it went well! Despite being a nauseated bundle of nerves, I managed to present myself well enough and should hopefully be hearing back from them by Thursday regarding paperwork and drug testing. It helps that one of the managers is my best friend, and he texted me after I left to say they liked me and that I most likely have the job.

Best of luck to you, Cobalt! If I did fine even while thinking about how nice it would be to puke up those damn Cinco de Mayo fajitas and be done with them one and for all, you'll do fine too xD

AP: I may be getting a new job soon. It'll have a steady schedule, closed on nights and weekends, eventual benefits, and it's closer to where I live. One of my friends works there, as well as a former coworker that I got along with really well, and both insist on having me as part of their staff.

Funny thing is, I have been saying that unless one just falls in my lap, I was going to stick it out at my current job for a few more months before looking for a different job. Looks like I might be leaving sooner than I'd thought.

I'm loving the shit out of Wolf Among Us. It made me want to go back and catch up on Fables, as I'd stopped reading around Vol. 15. I'm really hoping to see more familiar faces in the next two episodes, mostly Cinderella and Frau Totenkinder.

Finally finished it. I didn't even stay to look for anything I missed. Fuck Sierra Madre. I was having a lot of fun with it up until the end, because I loved the atmosphere and the story, but I got lost a lot, and the fog and radios went from a challenge to an annoyance once I finally got into the casino.

Honest Hearts is up next, right after I unload all of this shitty equipment I brought back.

After a few years of deeming it garbage, mostly because of how buggy it was on console, I decided to give New Vegas another shot after finding out my laptop would run it. SOOOOOO much better this time around, although right now I'm trying to get through Dead Money without pulling my hair out. I've been doing well so far, but now that I'm close to the end I'm getting impatient and having to search for the radios is pissing me off. That damned beeping has become the single most frustrating and infuriating sound...

Oh, any of you still playing it who enjoy bringing companions along, check out Niner from the Nexus. He's got a decent story and his comments throughout my travels have brought some welcome levity to some of the more dull or serious moments. Have to admit, hearing him go on about his former pet mantis, Seņor Slicey Hands, while traipsing through Vault 22 was pretty amusing.

PP: Wasted so much money today. I went to get my hair cut and left with something far shorter than I wanted. I then decided to jazz it up a bit by dying a purple streak in the front. Bleaching it was a disaster, dying it was an even bigger disaster, and what I intended to be a dark purple streak turned into a bright purple chunk. I'm having someone bring me a box of dark brown dye tomorrow to try to save my hair, because I refuse to leave the house like this. Also, I discovered that I hate pomade.

PP2: this growler of beer is not that good and I regret buying it too.

PP: Did catering for a reception at a pretty divey music hall. Cool place, but there was pretty much no space for us to work in. The other cook stayed in their tiny "kitchen" area to prepare the cold food and the food that was already cooked, while I had to set up on a balcony upstairs to fry things. We had to run an extension cord out to the balcony for the fryers, and over the night I ended up shorting out the upstairs breaker twice, which meant I couldn't cook and the guests had to be in the dark for a bit. One of my fryers had apparently accumulated some flour gunk on the heating element and started to smoke, so I unplugged it and only used the other one. Then THAT one just stopped working. At this point I had to settle for the smoky fryer that I had no way and no time to clean out and hope for the best. At this point it was raining, but thankfully there was an awning that covered me and the food. Then the rain got heavier, and what I assume was some kind of rain drainage gutter pipe thing overflowed, dousing me, the rest of the food, and my workstation in rainwater. Everything was ruined so I had to toss it all and clean up. That's when I noticed all the standing water on the balcony...the METAL balcony...and saw the extension cord outlet with the fryers still plugged in hanging dangerously close to the water, to the point where I could have probably been electrocuted had I not noticed it and snatched it up in time.

Later, I got hit in the balls really hard by a piece of metal. That shit hurt.

Dude, pet peeves are supposed to be minor annoyances and shit. We've all turned it into the "Let's bitch about our lives" thread. I'd deem missing your lady as something more than acceptable for what we've created here.

If the "PP:" ritual wasn't so ingrained in our minds, I'd almost argue that we should call it the feels thread or something, but I'm not one to screw with tradition.

"Wow, you guys must be really miserable if all you can do is go around and shit on everybody else."
"Hey, you paid for it, now shut the fuck up and sit your ass down. If I wanted lip from you, I'd unzip my fucking pants."

I, um, may have used that one at my current job a couple times. Doesn't help that apparently my catch phrase is "Eat a dick."

PP:  Pissed away 30 bucks on Sony station cash cards yesterday.  I don't usually like the idea of actually paying to subscribe to an MMO but I've been playing DCUO often enough that I've been considering it.  I was in Wal Mart and noticed they carry Sony "cash cards" that you can use for either a month sub or use as Marketplace cash for buying in game goodies.  Wal-Mart cards have a five dollar bonus of Sony's cash points included.  I was like , "Sweet, a month sub PLUS extra points to dick around buying random crap, that sounds like a legit way to trial-run a sub, I'll take two."  Yea... apparently the Sony PC marketplace and PS3 marketplace are COMPLETELY seperate and these card are only good for the PC marketplace.  Which is completely useless to me.  Nothing like setting fire to 30 bucks just to watch it burn.

Have you already redeemed them? There are sites that let you sell off giftcards and shit.

I can not even begin to describe how much I know this feel.

You and I need to figure out how to make being embittered, snarky assholes into something profitable and start a business.

Go Fuck Yourself INC.
