@Xanatos, yeah, seriously. The happiest character I've had was my very first, Dave the Barbarian, and even his life went to shit when things started progressing. He found joy in finding and befriending animals, and the very first thing I ever had him do was find a frog and play leapfrog with it, declaring the frog his best friend. Then the frog was unceremoniously killed. Later on he bought a pony, named it Brony, and took it with him everywhere. Then it fell into a deep ravine and died, though that was my fault >>

Daelin, on the other hand, was knocked out in every single encounter, so much so that I'm surprised he never got brain damage. As much as I tried to do well with him, his only notable traits were being a drunken snarky asshole who got beat up a lot. And now he may or may not be enslaved by a Brine Dragon.

I'm really hoping I can step it up with Cori. She's only taken damage maybe once or twice the entire time I've played as her, and now that I actually know what I'm doing when it comes to spellcasting, a lot of what she can do can really turn the tides of most encounters in our favor. Plus I've been chosen as the face of the party, so I'm going to be making use of her people-skills...or charm spells...quite a bit to hopefully make things go our way.

@Log. Please, do tell.

The last game of Pathfinder I played resulted in a total party KO/kill, so everyone is making new characters. Except me. See, I've had my bard Cori sitting on the sidelines a bit to recover from the psychological trauma that came with being unwillingly impregnated by an oni as a result of our sorcerer not thinking things through when making deals, carrying the child to term, then being sucked into the Ice Plane along with the rest of the party so the oni could take her child. Now with the events of the last session, her brother is missing, though possibly alive since I managed to stabilize before dying. Oh, and her father is a chaotic evil pirate king who has become one of the campaign's villains, and since the deal-making sorcerer died in the last session, the deal with the oni is void and he can return to the Material Plane to wreak havoc in his new Elf body courtesy of Cori's baby. Pretty much her whole family is dead, missing, or evil.

My characters have really shitty lives.

On the plus side, since the sorcerer is dead and she'd been staying in his home, all of his shit is hers now. Including his house.

AHHHHH Deadly Premonition is so good. Isn't that right, Zach?

Seriously though, seconding Outlaw's recommendation. The gameplay can be a little awkward, but the story has so many wonderful twists and turns and the characters are memorable, even the minor ones. It'll be a long time before I forget Sigourney and her pot.

I want to get a couple on my right helix to balance out the industrial in my left ear. Buuut cartilage piercings fucking hurt and take a long time to heal, and every so often I have to take mine out when I have to interact with guests at work. Considered a septum ring since I could just flip it up into my nose at work, but that wouldn't really look good on me. Then there was the time I toyed with the idea of a bridge piercing, but I mainly wear glasses.

Life is hard.

Meeting forum people in real life is pretty grand. I got to hang out with Dahlia a couple times back in the day. I took her to get her lip pierced.

Log if you ever meet Stan in real life, make him get something pierced. It's how lasting friendships are made.

PP: As I'm leaving work, I sat my ipad on the roof of my car to get my keys out of my pocket and finish a text. I then proceeded to forget about it and began the half-hour drive back home. About five minutes from the house, I get a sudden urge to listen to some music, so I reach for it...and it's not there. Naturally I flipped the fuck out and started driving like a crazy person trying to find it. I finally pull into a parking lot and tear my car apart looking for it. No luck. I then decide to turn around and drive all the way back to work to see if it's there. It somehow managed to stay on the roof presumably until I started driving erratically, because just as I pulled out of the gas station, I saw it sitting in the middle of the road. So I stop the car, run out in the street to retrieve it, and pull back into the parking lot to inspect it. Thankfully, nobody ran over it. The only damage is the glass front panel being cracked all to hell, but that's an easy, albeit kind of pricey, fix that I can hopefully take care of tomorrow. It could be so much worse.

Oh, it's fantastic. I just have to accept that I'm not always going to be able to get my whole team out alive. Though if I lose my Russian assault major, I'm going to snap my controller in half. She has consistently been the best soldier on every mission I've sent her on.

Like...the crappy one from Godfather? D:

I'm pretty sure Zog still watches over us all from the shadows, because I remember he lurked more than anything. It is a shame that a lot of the folks that made the forum great aren't that active anymore. I do miss me some Ma'am.

Now I'm looking through my old photobucket at a bunch of some old forum jokes. I'd post Ma'amtrain but I fear she'd somehow know and come kill me.
