AP: Buying a used game, finding the insert with the free DLC code still in the box, and learning that the previous owner never used it.

Seriously folks, when you're hitting up your local used game seller, ALWAYS check the boxes for the DLC codes. Sometimes, you might get lucky.

Homecoming isn't bad...it's just not...good. I got to the sewers and lost all urge to complete the game.

AP: I bought three Batman graphic novels for my best friend for Christmas. I've never really been into the more mainstream superhero stuff, but then I read The Last Halloween. Couldn't put it down.

Wasn't a fan of Silent Hill Downpour, lots of really poor design and shoddy writing.

I played Homecoming. I can handle Downpour xD

AP: Dead Island and Silent Hill Downpour. $30 both together. New headphones. 3 Cradle of Filth albums. Procrastinating on my 1000word assignment due tomorrow

Dead Island I can do without. Silent Hill Downpour, however...NEED IT.

AP: My best friend actually bought me Silent Hill Downpour for my birthday.

Related PP: Said best friend lives 200 miles away and won't mail it.

Poison and Wine - The Civil Wars. Good shit, yo.
36  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: November 22, 2012, 02:00:30 am
I WAS playing Dark Souls. But then it started pissing me off, so I started playing Kingdoms of Amalur. It's like Fable's overachieving little brother who has been hanging out with The Elder Scrolls too much. Good stuff.

I lost a couch because of that. When I lived with my best friend, he often spent more time in my room than his own because I had the TV and XBox, and my couch in there more or less became his bed. I didn't really mind him being in there. Waking up and seeing him asleep on my couch became such a regular thing that I'd become more uncomfortable when he WASN'T sleeping in my room.

Then I went home for a weekend...

I came back, found him sleeping in my bed, made him get the hell out because I was tired from the long drive, then inspected my room for any damage he may have caused while I was out. There were beer bottles everywhere, but that stopped mattering when I looked at my couch. There on the cushion was a suspect stain in a shape that could only have been caused by vaginal discharge during intercourse. For the rest of the time I lived there, I lived in fear that any solid surface, my bed included, was covered in his semen.

Needless to say, when I moved out, the couch became his and I gave my bed and sheets away.

I've grown bored with life and I'm not broke for once. Time to do something exciting. Like go out and buy a bunch of shit I don't need. Also liquor.

Chefs. Eugh.

Being a chef is awesome, you shut your whore mouth.

AP: I was an hour and a half late to work today...and they were cool with it, apparently. They know I've got sleep problems, and acknowledged that I've been working a lot recently.
44  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: November 14, 2012, 03:13:09 am
Drinking way too much at work functions is never a good idea.

Well...unless you're Teezee and it's Labor Day. Then you'll end up pissing in alleyways, singing Lady Gaga karaoke at a gay bar, and ending the night confused and upset because someone at the last stop of the bar crawl confused you with some other asshole who was starting fights and tried to get all up in your face.

PP: I'm exhausted. I haven't had a good night's sleep in what feels like weeks, and I've been working so much lately that getting back on a regular sleeping schedule has been difficult. I ended up passing out around 8pm tonight and waking up at 2. Now I'm all awake and shit and won't be able to get back to sleep to rest up enough for this 12+ hour workday ahead of me.
