Drinking Winter Solstice Ale now. So good.

I'm beginning to think we should make a "What's your poison?" thread.

Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1. Finally finished it, I may go back and replay it because I realized I'm turning Clem into a evil spirited manipulative bitch, in the last couple scenes I could feel the evil coming off the screen in waves.  But I'll probably just go with it and create a parallel game save.  The "next on walking dead" teaser trailer makes me want Episode 2 yesterday.

Hee, my Clem is the same. I didn't think of it so much as evil spirited as just...kinda numb. I spent so much time trying to preserve her innocence in season one that watching her lose that innocence and become a little hardass is strangely satisfying. Besides, you have to admit that shutting Rebecca the fuck down was the most satisfying moment in the entire episode xD

PP: While I've never really been one to go all out in celebrating the new year, I do enjoy a low key night of doing something with friends or family, or even just being alone doing the usual thing. This year, I had to work a 15 hour day until 4 in the fucking morning on not even an hour of sleep. Not to mention I found out I'm scheduled on the ONE day this week that I specifically asked off, meaning I'm missing out on being able to actually play the Pathfinder game I helped write.

I'm glad I have a job. I know that I'm fortunate to even have one considering many can't even find one, but for fuck's sake...

...Princess Maker 2.

What have I become.

Edit: Well...I became a heartless parent. My daughter, however, is the best damn mercenary the world has ever seen.

Final Fantasy Tactics is too expensive for my tablet taste but still one I'll keep an eye on if SquareEnix ever puts it on the cheap. And how are the controls for it?

Hate to say it, but the current price of $6.99 is FFT being offered at 50% off. SquareEnix games are crazy expensive, so if you plan on ever picking it up, now's probably the time. Personally, I ignored the price. It's a 55 hour game, and one of my favorites from my childhood. As for the controls, they translate pretty well to tablet gaming. I still need to get used to them, myself, but that's true for any tablet game.

Got a bunch of Chuck Palahniuk novels on kindle, so I'm starting with Rant. It's fucking weird. I kinda like it. Already read Lullaby a few years ago, but the rest will be new to me, so...whoo.

Funny how I went from thinking ebooks were the devil to starting a small library of them.

I'm assuming Bastion is worth the 99 cents then? I've been filling my ipad with games...so far I have Final Fantasy Tactics, The Bard's Tale, Republique, a couple free time waster games, and this one called Bloodmasque from SquareEnix. It's almost definitely a wallet warrior kind of game, but I snagged it while it was free, and it's pretty decent. I haven't had to put any money into it and I've been doing just fine. Hell, if it's still free, all of you iPad owners should help a brother out and download it, join up, and put in my user ID so I can get some rubies. 3-7786-8858.

I HAD Phoenix Wright because I thought it was free for Christmas or something, but it being Capcom, I had suspicions. Then I found out only the first two cases are free and then you have to pay $15 for the rest. Noped out of that real quick.

I'd pick up The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us had I not already got the season passes on 360.

I found Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions in the iPad app store. After cleaning all of the resulting ejaculate from the ceiling, I bought that shit.

AP: Got two free six packs of beer.
AP2: Christmastime is abysmally slow where I work. Instead of thinking of it as being unable to get hours, I'm just going to call it Christmas vacation.

AP: I got an iPad for my birthday/Christmas and I keep playing with everything it can do and squeeing like an idiot. Biggest thing though is that I got a program that can put my character sheets on it Cheesy

It autodetects your season 1 and 400 Days saves and lets you pick whichever file you want to continue from. I just finished my first playthrough of chapter one. I say first because I'm starting another right after I finish this post. I suppose it's because you're put in the shoes of a young girl instead of a grown man, but everything is just so much more...intense. It was both heartbreaking and satisfying to see that sweet, timid girl that I remember from last year become the stone cold survivor that she is now. Not to mention the fact that TellTale gives no shits that she's a child and if you mess up a QTE, Clemmy gon' get ate. This first episode really set the bar high, and after the preview for episode two, I can't WAIT for more.

Also, I cried five times. Because I'm a wimp.

In just a few short minutes, I'll be playing episode 1 of TellTale's Walking Dead: Season 2. I've been awake for roughly 27 hours thus I'm not exactly in the most sound mental state, so I'm expecting so many feels.

PP: What happened to the times when I got excited about my birthday and Christmas? Now I tell people I don't really want anything. I don't want a party. I don't want attention. I just want a night off of work, a six pack of good beer, and a controller in my hands...alone. And Christmas just sucks because everyone wants to talk to my oh-so-interesting oldest sister instead of me, so I end up answering the few arbitrary questions about work and whether or not I know what I want to do with my life, then blend in with the furniture for the rest of the day.

PP2: I'm pretty sure I'm going through the process of losing a once-close friend right now. Oh well. One less present to buy.

PP3: This FUCKING crick in my neck. Three days of PAIN.

Ignore me I've been drinking again xD

With the ukelele, though, pannies be droppin' so fast that the sheer force at which they hit the ground causes mild tremors.

I'm still grinding scholar and father back on level 1... bleh...

Build two or more libraries. Then after you've done everything you can with them, tear 'em the fuck down and build other shit in their place. Also remember that the dining area counts toward the Father. I couldn't figure out why I had one left even though I'd built everything that could be upgraded...and then smacked myself for not thinking of it.
