FINALLY GOT THE FUCKING KILLER CHALLENGE IN STATE OF DECAY. I had to start with a fresh group and sabotage the poor folks until nearly all of them were too sick to function. No beds, no food, no medicine...nothing. Once one came down with a simple cough, I had to play the waiting game until it progressed to fever, then life-threatening illness, and then finally showed her how Old Yeller ended.

Now to start over again...fingers crossed that I'll restore my group to its former glory.

I just went ahead and got the season pass before I even started playing. I had a feeling I'd enjoy it, but even if I hated it, I can't stand leaving a story unfinished xD

Tried TellTale's The Wolf Among Us. With the success of The Walking Dead, as well as having read quite a bit of Fables, I had pretty high expectations and came out satisfied. Definitely recommend it if you're a fan of Fables or enjoyed The Walking Dead. It's not as emotionally draining, but a couple moments hit me right in the feels. And hey, if you have no clue what Fables is about, it's a great starting point since it's a prequel. Plus, I think not being in the know would be beneficial since you aren't going to be immediately aware of some of the fates of certain characters.

I got fed up with the Dealer, but eventually just started watching stuff on netflix while absentmindedly driving a modern pickup around the fields in the middle of the map and picking them off one by one. Frickin' pain in the ass. I'm working on The Father and The Scholar now, and can't get The Killer because I'm too friggin' efficient XD Once I get The Father and The Scholar, though, I'm moving on to level 3.

Protip for you, Outlaw. For any of the challenges that require a bunch of gun kills, just toss firebombs while in aim mode with the right gun equipped, and keep aiming until the fire kills all the zombies. Since you're aiming with the gun equipped, it'll count the firebomb kills as gun kills. This'll save you so much time and ammo.

Once a hero is unlocked, they're unlocked for good and added to the survivor pool, I think. The heroes are cool and all, but some aren't as great as I'd hoped. I was super excited to unlock Becca Collins...only to find out she's an autocrat and her only useful skill is being a tattoo artist.

Capt. Montressor, however...leadership, fitness expert, mastery of assault weapons, AND lets you call in airstrikes? Probably one of the best heroes considering how relatively easy she is to get.

PP: Been awake since around two or three Friday afternoon. Worked 14 hours today in Doc Martens because my work shoes are ruined so my feet hate me. Finally home and ready to sleep...only I'm frickin' wired now because I'm finally home.

Picked up Deadly Premonition on a whim...five minutes in and I'm already going "Wat."

Gotta get me some of those "Police" cigarettes though.

EDIT: THE SQUIRRELS MAKE MONKEY NOISES.

If this turns out to be Indigo Prophecy all over again I'm never buying another "mystery" game for as long as I live.

PP: Bossman at my part-time saw me in person, asked me if I could work Saturday and Sunday, and all was well...until 20 minutes ago when I got a text saying I was actually scheduled to work tonight too but he forgot to tell me. Guess I didn't get my three days off in a row after all.

Decided to revisit Skyrim after nearly a year. Guess the break was needed, because I'm enjoying it just as much as I did before. Thinking about getting a decent PC so I can play it like it was meant to be, however: modded beyond all recognition.

Also picked up DmC: Devil May Cry on Live for $15.

PP: I'm glad I have a job and all...but I'm really starting to fucking hate my job.

@Hail and Yut's female character rant

YES.

However, while I understand where Hail is coming from and agree with her points, for me personally I have a problem the image of male gamers that it gives. Look at Lollipop Chainsaw. It is an extremely sexualized, campy game, I won't deny that, but DAMN it's fun as hell. I even bought a second copy to give to a friend because I knew he'd like it for more than the T&A. Of course, the night I took it over, his girlfriend found out and lost her shit because it looked "slutty." And you know what? It does. The game was enjoyable, and the character wasn't really portrayed as promiscuous, but she was wearing what looked like a cheerleader outfit from a sex shop, and that design influenced so many people's initial opinion of the game as something for perverts. I don't want people who aren't gamers to look at me like I sit in my room jerking off to high-poly tits bouncing around when honestly, I'm having too much fun making zombies explode into rainbows and glitter to care that my avatar looks like something from Brazzers.

Then of course, there's the issue of practicality like Yut mentioned. I can't enjoy chainmail tubetobs and high-heeled steel boots because I think they look fucking stupid. I would LOVE to see a game where armored pasties offer no protection and six-inch heels cause your character to awkwardly stumble around the battlefield whenever she swings her sword, because that would be both hilarious and make a lot more damn sense.

Well, there's my two cents. I'm gonna go awkwardly stand in the corner since I was so late to the party.

It only goes downhill from there, Yut. Season 2 is a pile of crap and season 3 tried, but...I just couldn't.

As far as the comics go, they aren't that great anymore either, but everything up to the end of the prison/Woodbury arc was pretty solid. Lori was far less annoying, and Andrea was nothing like the way she's portrayed in the show. Carol is the only woman who received far better characterization in the show than in the comic, and even then, you have to wait for it.

TellTale's Walking Dead is far superior to the comic or show at this point.
