Sounds like good times all around. Good to see you again, TZ. Hope things've been better since.

Haha, thanks, though I'm a bit less huggly these days.

Not for him, no. 90% of the posts made on the forum are everyone being mean to him.

TZ, y u a big dumb jerk all the time?

I DON'T GET ENOUGH ATTENTION AT HOME OK

Dropping in every now and then. But yeah...

CHEEZ -hug-

am I allowed to obscurely mention the forum's sketchy drama from like 80 years ago?

Oh hey, that was the drama that got me called a self-righteous asshole.

I just started Level 4 of State of Decay: Breakdown. The first Hero I unlocked, KC, ended up dying not ten minutes after I got him. I wasn't exactly crazy about him, so I didn't think much of it and moved on to unlock the others. The second one I unlocked, Zeika, ended up bringing an illness to my group. The third, Marcus, got ripped in half by a feral before I could even recruit him. That same feral then proceeded to kill the maxed-out survivor I sent to bring Marcus home.

Fuck this game.

AP: Manager party at work. Got invited anyway even though I'm not a manager because I got it like that. Got nice and drunk and had tons of fun...definitely needed that today.

See, I'm the opposite. IPAs aren't my favorite.

PP: It's December, and it was 80 fucking degrees last night. What the hell, NC weather?

I get really handsy then start crying. I'm not a fun drunk.

PP: I have enough trouble truly trusting other people as it is, but it's even harder when I can't help but think that someone I love has only been my friend for selfish reasons. I'm the kind of person who is pretty hard to completely win over, but when you do, you have a friend who'd do anything for you for the rest of your life. To think that someone could just be taking advantage of that...it really fucking hurts, and only makes it harder for me to really let someone in.

I'm sipping on some Blue Moon because it's been awhile since I've had something that wasn't a stout. I worked at a charity event tonight that had over a thousand people coming to donate $20+ toys for children of impoverished families and then get absolutely shitfaced. I guess something about seeing a bunch of drunk people, including one woman peeing in the bushes, made me really want to have a few drinks tonight.

Outlaw, is that person playable? Ever since a bunch of people on the forum kept bitching about their best people getting sick and dying off, UL made it so anyone who is at "friend" status can no longer be selected for mercy shot missions, even if they are at the point where all of their organs have shut down and they are bleeding from every orifice. Unless you want to start with a fresh group, I recommend using Lily to search for survivors. One of the two will almost always come in with a low trust bar. Have that person follow you around and look for bloaters. Try to lure him into attacking the bloater himself so it explodes on him. Chances are the gas will give him a nasty cough, and if it works, he'll immediately run home because he's sick. After that, just play the waiting game for a while so his sickness turns into fever, and then finally gravely ill. Avoid doing anything that will raise his trust. However, if he offers any zed hunt or infestation clearing missions while sick, go ahead and do them, but take explosives and a car. Once he's following you, set him on fire or try to run him down multiple times and his trust meter will just keep getting lower and lower. Bonus points if he gets an injury, just to really keep him in terrible health. Also, make sure he's home as much as possible. If he's away, call him back. Eventually you'll get the mercy shot prompt. It's a pain, but you'll finally get Alan, and he comes with a pretty nice rifle.

Honestly, the whole mercy shot thing kind of pisses me off. UL has done a pretty good job of keeping up with their fans' requests over at the forum, but I think the nerf of the mercy shot prompts is a little much. Yeah, losing someone you spent a lot of time training is frustrating, but that was part of the difficulty, and it was easily avoided if you weren't careless. Oh well, can't please everyone I guess.

FINALLY GOT THE FUCKING KILLER CHALLENGE IN STATE OF DECAY. I had to start with a fresh group and sabotage the poor folks until nearly all of them were too sick to function. No beds, no food, no medicine...nothing. Once one came down with a simple cough, I had to play the waiting game until it progressed to fever, then life-threatening illness, and then finally showed her how Old Yeller ended.

Now to start over again...fingers crossed that I'll restore my group to its former glory.

I just went ahead and got the season pass before I even started playing. I had a feeling I'd enjoy it, but even if I hated it, I can't stand leaving a story unfinished xD

Tried TellTale's The Wolf Among Us. With the success of The Walking Dead, as well as having read quite a bit of Fables, I had pretty high expectations and came out satisfied. Definitely recommend it if you're a fan of Fables or enjoyed The Walking Dead. It's not as emotionally draining, but a couple moments hit me right in the feels. And hey, if you have no clue what Fables is about, it's a great starting point since it's a prequel. Plus, I think not being in the know would be beneficial since you aren't going to be immediately aware of some of the fates of certain characters.

I got fed up with the Dealer, but eventually just started watching stuff on netflix while absentmindedly driving a modern pickup around the fields in the middle of the map and picking them off one by one. Frickin' pain in the ass. I'm working on The Father and The Scholar now, and can't get The Killer because I'm too friggin' efficient XD Once I get The Father and The Scholar, though, I'm moving on to level 3.

Protip for you, Outlaw. For any of the challenges that require a bunch of gun kills, just toss firebombs while in aim mode with the right gun equipped, and keep aiming until the fire kills all the zombies. Since you're aiming with the gun equipped, it'll count the firebomb kills as gun kills. This'll save you so much time and ammo.

Once a hero is unlocked, they're unlocked for good and added to the survivor pool, I think. The heroes are cool and all, but some aren't as great as I'd hoped. I was super excited to unlock Becca Collins...only to find out she's an autocrat and her only useful skill is being a tattoo artist.

Capt. Montressor, however...leadership, fitness expert, mastery of assault weapons, AND lets you call in airstrikes? Probably one of the best heroes considering how relatively easy she is to get.
