Careful, if you die in a dream, Milo dies for real!
32  General Discussion / Random Stuff / Re: Random Thoughts on: June 17, 2012, 07:09:30 am
Oh, you know, sometimes people say something instead of what they actually wanted to say, i believe that the person who said "wow, you are shallow" actually wanted to say "wow, I'm an idiot!"

How can a person be really pretty but still have something to change in his/her body? Shouldn't you say "she would be really pretty if ..."
Or am I being a dick?

The two paragraphs in your post contradict each others.

One says that a person can't be pretty if there's anything you don't like about her appearance.
The other says it's not shallow to say there's something you don't like about her appearance.

You can have one or the other, not both.

Hey, I just found a webcomic named Random Thoughts!

NSFW

The guy hanging upside down is... right behind her. She sees him standing and thinks: ok, so that proves that I'm just hallucinating, better ignore it. But then the guy points at his gutted self and screams. So he sees it too, so it's real! But maybe she's hallucinating him and the dead one is the real thing! But maybe she's hallucinating both! She has enough of it, screams and punches him (the standing one) in his stupid face. It turns out it was Milo. She's not strong enough to kill Milo with her bare fists, but he was holding his mug of hot coffee and spills it all over himself and dies from the burns.

More serious theory: this guy was captive with her in the Wastes, and the captors had fun torturing him to death. She was present when they did and could have at least tried to untie him while they were out getting more beer, but she was too scared to come out of hiding and left him be, and when they came back it was partly her fault he died.

I have many questions about that trail of blood.
With the way it stretches from the door to the business part of the bathroom, I infer that it was left by the bleeder as he advanced, and didn't just flow back because the floor sloped down that way.
But we see that Jenny thought about drawing Katie's bloody footprints, yet there are no other footprints around. If Milo accidentally gnawed his hand off and is bleeding to death (the most likely theory) he should be holding his stump in front of himself, protected by his other hand and probably close to his chest too; it's just instinct to keep injured limbs as covered as possible, but also where you can see them. He would be bleeding in front of himself and stepping in it would be very likely, as would be sometimes stepping outside the exact path of blood, so there would be footprints.
The same would go if Charlie drank Milo's blood in his sleep and got nauseous after realising what he did; (also a likely theory) I don't think he would be vomiting that cleanly.
So either someone was bleeding behind himself (hemorrhoids maybe?) or was walking backward not to get his favourite bunny slippers dirty. And WHO wears fabulous bunny slippers? That's right, Jasper. That creep, what was he doing sneaking in at night?

That, or a pirate spilled his infamous Bucket of Blood. You'll have to go easy on the rum in the future, Captain Bubblebeard.

Katie! Don't flick that switch! Milo noticed it didn't work and is redoing the wiring right now! If you turn it on, you'll electrocute him! Katie! Katie! NO!

It's in four episodes, separated with an author announcement in between:

This isn't the first time I link this webcomic! You should read it all! All!

I remember seeing that in a webcomic.
A guy had a completely rotten tooth that, in addition to worms, mushrooms and all things foul, was also infested by ghosts.
Zombie toothpaste was the best way to get rid of the ghosts, but it filled the user's mouth with tiny zombies and made them want to eat brains.
39  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: What did we learn today? (Apart from that australian wine rocks.) on: May 24, 2012, 02:46:40 pm
Today I learned that an iguana's eye socket can fit an eyeball and a frighteningly large rock at the same time. Which is probably the only reason Yoshi still has said eyeball.

Is the sunset a foreshadowing that things are about to get much worse?   Or that time is running out on Milo death theories?

The sun sets on Milo's head! WHAM!

I don't know if that's the same bug... if so, Firefox protects itself better than Explorer; it only freezes for a few minutes (minutes is long in internet time though) then gives an error message and stops the flawed script. So this time it's identified:

Also it only happened today, not at every visit.

I'd call this kind of wild display of enthusiasm the very illustration of rushing into things. Almost as bad as loveless couples who decide to make a baby because "babies cement couples." I could also compare them to overweight people who water-fast because they don't have the will to start a real diet and compensate for commitment with intensity. They made the one big move. Now they'll slack out on the daily behaviours that allow couples not to want to stab each other. It won't last.

And then Milo dies.

Ohhhhhh the taste of failure.

Nah, it's not failure. Charlie, trying to gather the knowlegde he needs to reintegrate society, has read many books on psychology, and many of them refered to other species to illustrate certain behaviours. He remembered that for some species, the best way to become leader is to defeat the other males in the herd. So he eats Milo. He is then a little confused on whether the comparison is meant to go as far as having to mate with every female.

Dances are like mushrooms: you know you found the best when it's merely worthless.

Hey, it wasn't in bad faith! You see, on his next Wasteland mission, he sees a zombie with a familiar silhouette and assumes it's Megan's. Of course that's dumb, even if she was in a recognisable condition the likehood of her being in the same place they happened to visit is ridiculously small, but when has grief been smart? So he starts running its way, and Milo runs after him for his safety. Charlie doesn't want Milo to shoot her, so he slaps the gun out of his hands. It doesn't hurt him, but that means he's now running at what turns out to be multiple zombies unarmed. Charlie catches the zombie, and after having a good look at her face, sees that she doesn't even look like Megan one bit and starts sobbing. He only snaps out of it when Milo cries out: he did the classical trying to avoid one zombie and bumping into another that he hadn't seen thing. Not bit yet, but the zombie's holding him good. Not aware of his zombie face punching powers yet, Charlie fumbles for his gun, but by the time he can kill the zombie it's too late for Milo.
Poor Charlie, he never had bad intentions!
