Ben Harper is very good.  I think the acoustic live version he did of Pearl Jams song "Indifference" is superior to the original.

Yea, I also played the Deathspank demo, it seemed ok but I think I'll wait for it to hit deal of the week before I pick it up.

After obsessively replaying the Monkey Island SE repeatedly (as of my last speed run yesterday I'm ranked #33 on the global leaderboards for Monkey Island, w00t) I finally downloaded Monkey Island 2 SE.  They REALLY changed up the control scheme but I think as I'm getting used to it that I like it.  It will make speed runs easier anyway  laugh

I'm really looking forward to replaying it with the developers commentary turned on.

It has come to my attention that the xbox 360 controller is missing the "kill all douchebags" button.  The xbox live community needs this button badly.

Playing Monkey Island SE.  I probably download the second one after I beat it.

The HD update is nice but I still prefer my old school floppy copy with the dial a pirate wheel  laugh

Well done, it makes me want to get off my ass and finish the pirate/zombie story I started many moons ago.

Had a series of really good team matches on RDR.

AP:  Teamembers who actually understand the concept of team.

PP: Pimple IN MY FUCKING NOSE. God I hate acne so much. XD
EDIT: PP: Its driving me fucking insane now. The pimple is big, it hurts, and it constantly feels like part of my nostril is being stretched apart. I can't fucking sleep because everytime something touches my nose a minor pain shoots through, and then that constant feeling in my nose. It's 5:15 am here.

The hands down worst pimple I ever had in my entire life was a tiny one, right on my eyelid.  Every time I blinked I could feel it rub against my eyeball, it drove me insane.  Thinking it was a stye or something else equally horrible I went to the doctor but nope, it was a just a pimple.  Pimples suck.

The Facedown records 2010 spring sampler.  Good stuff.

I really want to say the Johnny Cash zombie is awesome but it just made me sad.

Stan, you're a brave Roguelike player, Nethack is one of the most in depth and nuanced playing experiences that exist and to take it on without research is the same thing I tried at first.

When you reach the point of wanting to rage quit check out this guide here http://www.melankolia.net/nethack/nethack.guide.html  This is a nice starter guide that isn't too spoilerish, some ruin way to much of the experience by going into far to much detail.

Good luck and remember, cannabilism isn't just possible, it's usually necassary.

You mean you don't have them in Europe?

SHUT DOWN AIRPORTS! CONTAIN THE EPIDEMIC IN AMERICA!!!

They're exactly what they look like... fake testicles that you hang on the back of a car to look like you have a boy car.
The best part is trying to explain what they are to small female relatives when you're driving behind one.

With all the musicians of various sorts we have here on the forum we should create a ginormous jam band.

This is why punk rock and metal are the way to go.

Stan, I could not be more proud of you than I am at this moment.

Did you get the scroll that allows you to leave the dungeon? I know the first one had it.

Haven't played a game in days due to summer school...

Yea, the dungeon flee scroll is there and I've been abusing the hell out of it.  I redid the first dungeon many many times, picking up every damn thing until I couldn't carry more, teleport back to town, repair my crap, sell stuff and storehouse the rest.  I reached the second town last night and the storehouses apparently share inventory like Resident Evil item boxes.  This is by far the easiest roguelike I've ever played, especiallly since you can bring a partner in with you and do double team attacks and stuff.  It's fun though, I'm enjoying it while I wait for my spiritual batteries to recharge for my next spurt of Shiren runs.

Shiren requires an interesting level of focus for me to play since I always end up thinking a couple lives ahead of what I'm doing and planning for my final run.  I'm still searching for another staff of stability and I can't decide which shield I'm going to take for my final run.  I've put a lot into buffing my mega armorward but I'm unsure if I want to cart the extra riceballs it will take to offset the double hunger it causes.  A really buffed hide shield is appealing because of the half hunger while buffing the hell out of iron shield also has its appeal since it's ALMOST as strong as the armorward but does regular hunger.  I'm also trying to replenish my blastwave scroll supply, I'm still pissed off about losing my jar of them to the freakin' rice changer on pegasus ridge.  When I finally beat Shiren I will do my happy dance then throw a party, everyone from TZH will be invited of course.

And Hail, Fallout 2 is superior to FO 1 in a lot of ways but I can't imagine playing it without playing the first.
