Are you telling me that other people can find this?  I mean, google doesn't even know what this site is.

*Tormented13*

Ask yourself how you found it?  What guided you here?  What nudge, or push or lure led you to find this place?  How have I found it again for that matter?  Perhaps I still serve some purpose after all.

Bluh,  I just spent all day at the range.  ALL FUCKING DAY.  Like over 12 hours.  With no computer access...

Anyway I'm going to sleep now, see you all in a few hours.

"Yea, four o'clock sounds good,"  Brandon pushed his way out of the diner and looked up and down the street, not expecting to see to see the creature again but hoping.  With a sigh he started his bike and drove home, where he was asleep seconds after flopping onto his couch.

Notify works exactly as Amadeus just described, you get an email anytime someone posts in the thread.

Fair enough.  The picture with the needles in the guys ass is gross.

Not funny, just gross.  (I'm horrified that anyone would do that)

Now this I find funny.

I can just picture this guy getting taken out by a cop in a grocery store because he scratched his stomach or something.  That would be the real punchline to this joke.

Time frames for posting are really difficult to enforce on the internet given that everyone is in drastically different time zones.  I will make sure that critical story moments aren't resolved until everyone has input.

NINJA'D!

The key is all that is in the envelope, it has a box number stamped on it, that's it.

Brandon followed the thing to the door, staying a few steps behind it.  It either ignored him or didn't care.  Brandon stopped at the threshold, watching it walk down the street.  He was afraid to leave the diner until he knew more about what had happened between Mary and the creature, it was the only thing that kept him from following the creature to try to learn more about it.  He watched as it walked right past other people with no one seeming to realize that they were next to something unnatural.  He shivered slightly as he moved away from the door, leaving the "Sorry we're closed" sign displayed.

Brandon approached the group as they huddled around Zach opening the small envelope the thing had left for Mary.  A single object clattered onto the table.  "It looks like a safety deposit box key," Brandon said after a moment of silence passed.

He rubbed at his burning tired eyes and ran his hands through his shoulder length dark blonde hair, fighting the urge to yawn but failing.  "Look, I'm sorry guys, but I've been awake over a day now," he glanced at the diner clock which showed it was just after 6:00 AM now.  He smiled his lazy half smile, "My name's Brandon, Brandon Slater."  He shook hands and offered everyone his cell number which he had written on torn scraps of napkin.  "I really want to help but I've gotta get some shut eye first, give me a call in a few hours, like around noonish."  He grabbed his last piece of bacon, washing it down with a coffee, as he headed out the door.

(((OOC  This pretty much ends the first scene, everyone is imbued and can post in the hunterónet.org thread using their username.  It sounded like everyone activated second sight to see the unnatural nature of monster so mark off 1 conviction.  I run my RPs very open ended so feel free to explore the city or whatever at your own pace.  There are many stories to be found in Brookvale.  If you have any questions ask in thread, PM me or hit me up on MSN.)))

I loved that game, I actually created a game variant Humans VS Machines and had lasers only.

Fucking was epic, light show was brilliant.

Still one of my all time favorites.  The best part was the fact you could modify the game types so much, weapon spawns, bots.  And the level editors were actually good.

I STILL occasionaly play one of the maps I made for TS 1.

Damn now I have to play this again.

After moments of hushed conversation the creature passed something across the table to Mary then offered her his hand.  After a moment of hesitation she shook it.  "Wonderful..." the creature purred, loud enough for the room to hear.  "Take care Mary, you may of course extend my offer to the rest of your friends, I understand you cannot speak for them but consider yourself my agent in this matter.  Keep my card, I will be in touch."

The thing stood up, its long coat swirling around it as it moved towards the door.

(((OOC Helmi, Pulling stuff out of your ass is the way of the forum RP, have at it  Grin )))

Brandon watched with interest at the hushed exchange between the creature and Mary.  "Hey, buddy," Brandon jumped at the voice that came seemingly out of nowhere.  "What's going on out there?"  Brandon turned to see the cook, peering out at the dining room at the strange scene playing out.  Brandon merely shrugged and turned back to watching the two huddled figures.

"Zach is it?"  The thing turned back to the young man with his hideous smile.  "I'll remember you young one.  I remember many like you, too full of bravado and lacking the common sense to back down from a fight they can't possibly win.  If it soothes your ego stand there, but do not interrupt me again."

It turned back to Mary, leaning close and keeping his voice low.
2985  Roleplaying / RPG Graveyard / Re: Hunter the Reckoning: Brookvale on: March 29, 2010, 04:04:33 pm
The thing and Mary began to move to one of the corner booths, away from the rest of the group.

The kid in the back got up from his computer and approached the pair, his young face set in a grim scowl.  "Oh, don't mind me... I'm just a 'fly on the wall', so to speak.  However, motherfucker, one unpleasant move out of you and you have my word I'll be making some permenant alterations to your pretty little face".

The thing turned to face Truant, positioning himself as though he were protecting Mary from him.  With an expression that was like a parody of a thoughtful frown it addressed the youth with a voice that dripped with sarcastic disdain.  "And where did you come from boy?  You're not from around here, so I really don't expect you to understand but the lady and I have BUSINESS to discuss.  Adult things you understand?  Please run along and save your crude threats for when you are actually being threatened.  I have already said I have no desire to see blood spilled here today but you all seem very determined to sorely test me."  Turning back to Mary he gestured to the booth she had indicated and bowed slightly, "Ladies first my dear."  Before she had a chance to respond the creature snapped out in an authoritative tone, "Brandon, I do hope you're hope you're not planning on doing something foolish."

Brandon froze, he had been in the act of turning the sign in the diner door from "YES WE'RE OPEN" to "SORRY, WE'RE CLOSED."  Brandon cleared his throat.  "I just thought more privacy would be appreciated."

The creatures eyes flicked from Mary to the sign in Brandons' hands, "Fine."  It smiled its unerving smile again.  Brandon couldn't take his eyes off the thing as he returned to his seat by the counter.
