I like that you mentioned you where unprepared you are even though you have weapons, way too many people put a high value on weapons without thinking of further survival. I am slowly starting to stock up on food and water, not just for zombies mind you we get bad tornados here too.

What if we were at work?

I was mostly thinking about how prepared you are with supplies and the like, but what would you do if you where at work?? My plan has a lot of running in it and not much beyond that.

I'm sure someone has posted this but, I'm gonna do it agains anyway. There is a game studio, undead labs, that is making the first fullfledge zombie apocalypse simulator. A zombie game that is about surviving and rebuilding and all that crap we always wanted i na zombie game but always ended up with flaming machettes and bikinin clad zombies.

So this is it, the zombie apocalypse has begun. The news talking about the chaos, the military is over run and your undead neighbor is mucnhing on the family pet; how prepared are you right now sweet protagonist??

I know someone else asked this question many many moons ago and I thought it was time to revisit the question; if the worst hapened and the dead started walkng right now how prepared are you?? Do you have a enough food?? ammo?? rolls of toilet paper??

Me, I'm not that prepared. I am slowly gathering together supplies for general disaster preparedness but am along way away from being ready for anything. I don't need to know ammo counts or anything but let us know, how ready are you??
20  General Discussion / Zombie Stuff / Re: weapons thread 2.0. on: May 03, 2012, 12:02:13 am
Is it ok to necro this thread?? Is that something that is ok??

Anywho, Sons of guns recently made a couple guns for Max Brooks, and they where awesome, here is one I am lookin to get.

It is a .22 and the suppressor and scope dont come with it but, it is basically a ruger .22 rifle in a bullpup frame. It looks cool, recoil is less of a bitch, and it is still crazy simple to maintain. From the price checking I have done it shouldnt cost more than the marlin I bought.

22  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / Re: Cabin In The Woods on: May 02, 2012, 11:45:25 pm

Just saw it this evening. It wasn't as good as the hype led me to believe, but it was certainly very good nevertheless. And I was told I wouldn't expect what it was about, and that was totally correct.

I dont generally follow the hype, I'm on here to often to watch tv. I think that is why I enjoy a great many movies my friends hate. Hearing that this movie is a homeage to the slahser films gives me a bit of hope for it; I wanted to see it but it didnt really jump out at me ya know??
23  General Discussion / Zombie Stuff / Re: What would you miss the most? on: April 18, 2012, 08:43:53 am
I would miss the internet. I lost my internet connection a few days ago and hated it, I managed to find something else to do of course but still...no internet would suck.
24  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / The best and worst on: April 17, 2012, 09:57:27 am
In my search for zombie related flicks I have discovered a pattern, for every good zombie movie there are 10 bad ones. The point of this thread is to share what you think the best and worst zombie movies are, give us a brief reason why you think the way you do. I'll get us started.

Beast: the 1990 remake of Night of the living dead

Romero had this film made to bring the Dead series back inline with its self. He fixed a few of the plotholes with the zombies( most notably the useing tools thing) and reintroduced it to a generation that may have otherwise missed it. It has a special place i nmy heart becasue it is the first zombie film I have ever seen.

Worst: House of the dead

I know it seems like a copout to use a uwe bowl movie but I cant not talk about it. The acting is weak, the story confusing and the bullet time used in the action scenes is just boring...how do you make bullet time boring!! Zombie movies shouldn't be hard to make, even some of the bad ones are fun because they are so bad, but uwe bowl manages to fail on every level with this one.

25  General Discussion / Zombie Stuff / Re: Walking Dead Season 2 on: April 17, 2012, 09:17:07 am
Just started watching Season 2 a few days ago, and I know loads of people have been saying this season sucks, but I'm really enjoying it. While zombies are a big part of a zombpocalypse, this isn't some video game where your only goal is killing zeds. It's survival, and not only is the interaction with other people important to that, personally I'm finding it just as interesting.

I'm right there with ya Cheez, I agree that season 2 has been moving a little slower than I like but I have very much enjoyed watching the group grow and change. The show is more about the people and how they respond to the zombie apocalypse and not just about the zombies...we have room for both course, dont get me wrong. I have also really liked how our heroes aren't always heroic, they make mistakes and sometimes are just plan dicks, its refreshing to see a series where the point is to make all the characters interesting but not necessarily likeable; it makes watching the events unfold more interesting.

wow, a long post and no question, didnt see that comin did ya??

I think I read an articule on cracked that was going on about what if other movie monsters got the twilight make over. I laughed when they brought up the zombie love story, thought there was no way anyone would be so sad as to turn zombies into a teen heart throb...how wrong I obviously was  Undecided

I am not saying we should riot, there has to be a better way to handle this than that. If people become violent or even start issueing threats and ultimatums it will only make the people pushing this garbage push harder and feel more justified in their actions. I am suggesting we (as in people in general not just here) spread the word about what sopa is, I have met many who know nothing about it, and let those in power know what we think about it.
I am not saying we should have an armed revolution, but we should let the government know this course of action is stupid and it will do harm without fixing anything. If people do nothing, nothing gets fixed; all I'm sayin.
And I'm with Log! on the whole know why you are screaming thing, I just wanted to get a little info circulating not bust out hate on anyone.
