I completely agree that the global community should band together and try to talk the American government out of this, its a very bad idea on many levels Like I said in my first post, I wanted us to get together here and brainstorm on what we can do (legally of course). I posted what I know to do,it aint much but it is all I can do in my very limited circle of influence (ie none). I heard that group on readit was gathering money to help fund politicians oppsed to the bill...not sure how that would help, I thought this would be a vote not a court hearing.

For those of us that play minecraft, yes I stole that from mojang, I admit it. Anyway, as some of you may know, the government is trying to pass a bill that will pretty much censore the internet; I have been watching this bill for awhile but todays internet blackout has convinced me I should do more than watch. I understand the need to get rid of internet piracy, a company has a right to sell there product, but I feel it irresponsible and true knee-jerk reaction to give any one body the power to shut down a website based on vague reasoning. To learn more about what sopa is, I have hunted down a little info. please post better links if you find them, I'm not trying to sucker anyone here. http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/showhttp://www.blogworld.com/sopa/ Google has posted a petition and I am posting here, I know it isn't much but it's better than doing nothing. If you try to go to wikipedia today you can enter your zip code and it will give a list of your representatives (for those that live i nthe U.S., not sure how it would work for everyone else), I think we should all write our reps and tell them what we think. Here is a list of U.S. representatives that support and oppse the bill, I was about right mine but he seems to be against it . I wanted to make this thread to get more ideas circulating on what we can do to stop this bill. If left unopposed, the bill could do alot more damage than it would fix; how many buisnesses have become succesful because of the internet, or individuals that got their work known because of the it?? The internet is, by its very nature, the embodiment of freedom of speech and the free exchange of ideas; I have no doubt the form of the internet will change in the future but these changes should make it a safer place to be, not destroy what it is.

Like alot of the people here I would probably use a premade map as a bases and then add to it, but I would deffinately have one. I like the idea of making several fortified areas and moving between them, that way the zombies have less of a chance to box me in anywhere. A hand made map showing the best routes to these locations might be good but I have no talent for such things.

First, a few apologies. I know I am necroing and I am sorry, I found something I thought was relevant and thought I would share it with people (like me and log!) who are having trouble understanding this weird...cultural movement. Second, I know I am double posting but that seemed apropriate too, deal with it. Found an articule about the origins of the fanbase and found it kinda of interesting How 4chan gave birth to the bronies I can't relate to some of the fans mentioned but I never would have figured 4chan for the origins of this group..I can't imagine they would survive there let alone defeat the trolls of the /co/ boards. ...wait I just gave relevant information without asking a question...how cool is that??

I don't remeber if this has been posted here or not but either way I bring you Night of the living Bread!!This short holds a special place in my heart because it was shown on the day I got into horror. It was 1992 and they where showing a double feature of night of the living dead and the blob remake. This short was sandwiched in between them

Time for the Christmas classics. Die Hard today, Lethal Weapon tomorrow. I love the holidays.
If you are going to do those kind of holiday movies, you gotta throw in Gremlins...don't look at me like that, it happened on christmas!!

I know exactly what you mean and that is the big reason I made this thread. I have seen about 10 episodes of the show now and can resonably say that its ok, I still don't understand what has made it the huge...internet event that it is. Is it like a meme?? and by that I mean has it become what it is in the same manner as the meme or is this another creature altogether?? I think this is where me and Log! have an understanding, we don't get the explosion of ponies on the internet.

...What you got against the pilot light of the animation rennaisance?
Seriously, AT is fucking great. It pushes the boundaries of animation and censorship In a delightful manner.
I don't doubt that it pushes the boundaries of censorship and animation, I am just willing to debate about how delightful it is. Again, I respect that people like it, I just don't; I should have used a different example I think

I.Hate.That.Show. Words can not express my loathing. I respect that other people like it, it just makes my soul die a little everytime I see it. I'm sorry, I see there are people who enjoy that one. Maybe chowder would have been a better example??

There does seem to be something lacking. I love the creative freedom but it needs something to give it a little more depth, not sure what though. Maybe random quests within the game?? that would require some kind of story and a way to trigger them..hmm. Random invasions from the nether might be fun, would give you a reason to build that awesome fort and stock up on weapons.

Kind of inclined to agree with stan; from what little I have seen it seems ok, certainly watchable. If it where its own creature, not my little pony, I imagine it would recieve fewer raised eyebrows. As it stands it seems ok, I will not be refering to myself as a browny anytime soon (i.e. ever) but its a solid kids show and certainly better than garbage they peddle to them now. I'm looking at you adventure time
