Storylines are good, but you've got to be willing to be VERY loose at most points.
Which is why I've got 4 or 5 possible 'endings', most of which allow for a continuation of the campaign. And so far a mission WEB that has over 100 possible missions (and growing)...of which the characters will only be able to do 20-30

is it a dwarf? it should be a dwarf.
no...1/2 vampire.

Why wouldn't you? Let the players do whatever they want, I say. If it works, fair play to them. If it doesn't, it's still funny.

A couple of players in the Shadowrun group I'm in made a fetish porn video with an NPC politician, then used it to blackmail him.
that's pretty much how I look at it. The problem is the DM of the other campaign is making us follow a storyline. That said she's surprisingly lenient, but things like prostitution are strictly forbidden. My campaign...I have 4 or 5 end goals in mind, which one they end at and how they get there is mostly up to them. I come up with missions for them, they complete them however the hell the want. Ironically, the DM of our other campaign is the one that's playing the 1/2 vamp swashbuckler/hooker.

Oh god...I can totally see my group doing that...except the Warblade would forget that they're supposed to be blackmailing the politician, and decapitate him. Probably while the 1/2 Vamp is 'sleeping' with said politician.

On another note entirely, today I learned there will be a Dr. Horrible Sing-Along-Blog Part 2!!!

Today I learned that after just one session, the people in my DnD group LOVE my campaign...probably helped that I allowed one of my players to dress as a stripper...then proceed to, on an infiltration mission, seduce a guard while the rogue killed their target.

d20srd.org has most of the player's handbook. dandwiki.com has most of the same info...a little more in some areas, a little less in others. Plus there's some good homebrew stuff. crystalkeep.com has virtually all classes, races, etc, but only has very basic info on everything.

Today I learned that coming up with DnD quests is HARD.

Kudos. Now go watch the entire series if you haven't already.
I own the entire series...both on Blu-Ray and DVD. I'm watching Shindig right now in fact.

Today I learned that ex-drama is worse almost as bad as High School Drama....and I have as little patience for ex-drama as I did for HS drama.

Today I learned that people think I'm gonna go on a killing spree, simply because I told someone "Remember...Rape, Pillage, Plunder, Repeat. It worked for the vikings didn't it?" All with, apparently, an evil grin.

I'm more partial to a wizard spec'ed for crippling, myself. But to each his own *cough meatbag cough*. Ahem. Excuse me.
fully boosted I get +30 to hit, and +24 dmg. Who needs a fireball when the Barbarian can hit as many targets, but deals more damage?
540  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: September 14, 2009, 11:14:15 pm
That's my favorite game.  Who's the better killer. Smiley
I play it in DnD all the time...me and the group DPS fighter (I'm a barbarian) have a running game. So far I'm ahead by almost 20 heads. Rage + Inspire Courage + Bull Strength + Great Cleave = SO MANY DEAD!! I can deal massive damage without even crit hitting when I'm using my full power attack bonus
