PP: Redditors.
"I like thing!"
"I respect your opinion, but I don't like thing, and here's my rational explanation as to why!"
"YOU DON'T LIKE THING? YOU'RE SO FUCKING STUPID"
"LE DOWNVOTES"

Jesus, this is why I prefer 4Chan.

More Dark Souls 2. I think I've defeated 7 or 8 bosses now, just kinda exploring and figuring out where to go next. Just got to Grave of Saints. DaS2 is a lot harder this time around, I've been having to summon for help a lot more than I did in the first game.
19  General Discussion / Movies/TV Discussion / Re: Latest Movie You've Seen on: March 12, 2014, 05:36:08 pm
Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It wasn't very good. Good idea behind it, the origins of the Planet of the Apes, but just poorly executed, there's so much illogical bullshit in it that just ruins it.

Also saw The Great Escape, and it was a fantastic movie for the first 2 hours, the last hour (Well, more like 40-50 minutes) was totally unnecessary, and it just really fucking dragged on, it's basically an hour of watching the various characters as they evade the nazis, but it doesn't really offer much in the way of plot progression, it doesn't add much of anything, and then at the very end the movie returns to the POW camp where they basically explain all of what happened anyways. Earlier on in the movie there was a brilliant bit of visual storytelling where two of the characters claim they've found a blind spot in the Nazi security, and that they were going to dig under the fence to get out, the scene immediately after shows them being lead to the "Cooler", a sort of solitary confinement in the POW camp, covered in mud. What they should have done for the end of the movie is what they did for the aforementioned bit of visual storytelling, have them escape, and then cut to the camp after all has been said and done, with the remaining characters discussing what had transpired.

EDF 2025. I love it, but fuck me, it seems impossible to get good weapons for the Air Raider class, and a good assault rifle seems hard to find with the Ranger class too.

It's okay, I bought a PS4 when I probably shouldn't have. Granted, I didn't know I was going to be fired shortly after.

But muh MGS5.

PP: Our fucking internet. We pay $95 a month for 1.25 mbps. I can barely do anything, watching a youtube video in 480p is a fucking struggle, and I'm amazed I can play online games as well as I can. I'm pretty sure our internet in the 90's when we got our first computer had the same download speed.

Thought you had a boyfriend for some reason. Hm. Anyways, sorry to hear that, Hail, breakups suck. *Awkward forum hug*

Speaking of Thief, decided to give the original a second shot, downloaded the fix that improves it for modern computers, and now that I've gotten a hang of the overcomplicated movement controls (freedom of movement is where controllers really fuckin' shine, fo rizzle) I'm having a great time with it.

EDIT: Speaking of Stealth games, just beat Gunpoint. It was neat.

This is why you don't Pre Order on Steam. I mean, even fucking EA lets you refund games on Origin.
27  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: February 25, 2014, 01:04:29 am
I'll drink a radioactive bleach and ammonia cocktail before I give EA money for one of their bullshit "access codes" they make you buy to play online with a used game.
You do realize EA stopped online passes last year, right? And EA isn't the only company to have had them either, there have been plenty others to have online passes. Also, Battlefield 4 is fantastic. The whole "Lol EA sux" circlejerk is getting kinda tiresome. The only reason people are flipping shit over the whole Dungeon Keeper thing is because EA made it.

Anyways, EDF 2025. Level 31 is a fucking bitch. TWO giant ant queens.

Borderlands 2.

Almost finished with the game and holy balls, the difficulty seems to jump outa nowhere.

I can't find anything to subset this fact and fuck Lynchwood and its respawning dicks.
Borderlands 2 is incredibly unbalanced for single player, unfortunately.

So thinking of using my money from my Income Tax to buy a new pc.

Wondering how I should do this, want to buy a cheap but effective computer.
This is a build I had planned. About $550-$600, and should work well enough to run a lot of newer games, maybe not at full power mind you, but it should work quite well.

More Doom. Got some new mods... One of which turns Doom basically into Half Life 1. Very well detailed environments, 3D models ripped from Half Life, full voice acting, and a story set during the events of Half Life 1.
