8401  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: What are you playing? Episode 2: Sequel Reloaded! on: October 31, 2009, 08:48:54 pm
Uncharted 2, which is pissing me off, with this Puzzle.

I won't spoil any of the game, so don't worry...
There are four weights, and 4 panels in the floor in which to place them upon, and on the wall there are carvings, which are supposed to give you a clue as to what weight goes where (The weights are all different) there are no clues at all in the carvings, I placed the weights in the right spots by process of elimination, and now after I placed the weights in the rights spots, below each carving cylinder type things appeared with Tibetan symbols or words or something on them Nate says "Hey, I've seen these symbols before..." well I sure as hell haven't.
You use a little journal Nate has with pictures and information and such in it, it automatically takes you to the page related to the puzzle at hand, the page it took me to are no help at all, I am completely lost, and as much as I hate it, I will probably have to look up a guide to get past this puzzle if I don't figure it out.

EDIT:
On the topic of Nate's journal, there's some funny stuff in there...
Scare O' Meter: Sully's Mustache, Slippery Naked Guy, Last one I won't say for spoiler reasons
                                   More Scary ---->

Looked up a guide too, the journal for this puzzle doesn't even take you to the page necessary for doing the puzzle, even though it should, so I know what page I need to go on now in Nate's journal, that's good enough for me.

EDIT:
Got past the puzzle, in the first puzzle you have to position a giant statues arms to the correct position, and when it said to access Nate's journal it took you right to the correct page to do that puzzle, and I got past it no problem, the next two in the game however, when prompted to open up the journal, I assumed it would take me to the correct page for the puzzle, but it didn't, so that's why I had problems...

EDIT AGAIN: Beat it! Cheesy

AP: So I just learned that there will soon be an Elder Scrolls novel, The Infernal City, and apparently bridges into Elder Scrolls V or something like that.

Can't complain, been kinda tired and such. But alright.

You?

PP: The second I go online on MSN messenger, I get a message from a friend, as soon as I respond, he's gone, not offline, just fucking gone. How the hell can you manage to just up and vanish in the 3 seconds it took for me to type send the message? If your going to "BRB" you could at least have the decency to say so, its a 3 letter acronym, not hard to type out.
Another way of putting it, it's like your friend coming up to you and asking "Enjoy the movie last night?" and then walking away as your giving your answer.

EDIT: So he came back, and explained what happened, so all is well now.

But a new PP arises!
PP: My sister got "Two Worlds", what a steaming pile of ass.

More Uncharted 2, freaking awesome. Only thing I didn't like about the first one was that it was too short, about 8 hours, not counting going through and finding all the treasure, just playing the game straight through.

Either Shinedown or UNKLE.

You?

More Uncharted 2!

You need ODST because it has 3 new maps, and every single other DLC map. At least, I would think so anyways.
8409  General Discussion / General Discussion / Re: PP: Not having a Pet Peeves thread. on: October 29, 2009, 10:28:12 pm
Last year, I think, there was a news report about two kids--19 and 20 years old--kidnapping a 6-month-old puppy, putting it in an oven, and watching it as the poor thing baked to death. The assholes recorded it and showed it to neighborhood kids.

I admit--unashamedly--that I was close to tears when I saw that.

However, it's kinda sad that I have more compassion for an animal than I do for people. You hear about someone being stabbed to death. Wow that sucks. A child is killed. Aww, man, that really blows. A 100% innocent animal--especially a puppy or kitten--is maliciously and brutally murdered. WHAT IN THE HELL IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!

See how I made the death of an animal seem so much worse than that of a person? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't regret it, I just think it strange.

I can't stand to hear about cases of animal abuse. It hurts too much. I despise the ASPCA commercials because the animals are so sad, so hurt, and just want someone to love them. Instead, they were beaten, neglected, maimed, and, in too many instances, killed. That's a miserable way to die, I just know it.

I can't imagine what would have happened to my dog if we hadn't taken him in. It was pretty clear he'd been abandoned (not neglected or abused, just dropped off and left to fend for himself) and we almost threw him out. Whenever he's being a royal pain in the ass, I think, he could have been dead on the side of the road.

Unfortunately, that's the reality for many animals. Dead because no one cared enough.

[/heartwrencher]
I feel the same way, about the caring more about animal deaths more than that of human deaths, I think its because you think "Well humans die all the time..." and people do some bad stuff to other humans, but you can do just as much horrible stuff to an animal then a human, like cut it open and put drugs in it, put it in an oven, and other such horrible stuff, since it's smaller and such, and when you think of a dog getting killed or something, chances are your going to think of the most adorable little animal being killed brutally, and what else is that with animals, the only reason you would kill/torture one is for fun, for the most part there isn't a reason, just for entertainment, there's usually more reason for such violent killings on humans. But anyways, I'm rambling... XD

PP: People who complain about losing their saved game data because the game froze. Hey, that's what the save function is for. It's more your fault than anything if you lose it.

So how is Mordecai working out? I love sniping so I figure I will play him when I get the game.
8411  General Discussion / Game Discussion / Re: Borderlands on: October 29, 2009, 10:13:30 pm
Oh, I didn't notice that in Milly's post. Tongue
But yeah, I might be getting the game soon, so we will have to pwn nubs together online!

Actually, South Park might be an interesting one, or Black Lagoon, if you count animes.

You?

I still listen to all the bands I like, except Offspring, just go bored of their music.

One more time. GO!

AP: Saw a fuzzy little bat at school today, I've never seen one up close before so that was cool. I took pictures with my DSi, so I will have to upload them sometime.
