Ah, so finally the time has come once again for us to sit back and drool at the new shiny games. Shiny new games that fall under three classes: Holy sheet I want now! Mmm, I'll wait until it comes out. What the fuck is this shit!?
So I haven't watched all of it yet because I've been busy but already a game falls on the last category. Fable: The Journey. Now I could make a huge ass post on why it's going to suck, but the main thing that really hurts this game is the fact that it's a rail shooter. Now I can't review it but I mean really? It's taking away the magic that Fable had where you were a hero and made the choice to be good or evil. *cough and the fact that it's all Kinect bites cough*
Eh, we'll just have to see what happens.
Games I am looking forward too is Gears of War 3, Saints Row 3, and Skyrim.
So TZH members what do you think of this years E3 and what games are you looking forward too, or think is going to bomb?

The new Wii U looks like shit, yeah it has some good games, but I'll be able to them it on 360/PS3. Too much gimmicky bullshit.
The PS Vita looks amazing though, might just wait and get it over a 3DS, it has just as many features for the same price.
I am of course excited for Halo 4, Halo CE Anniversary, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Mass Effect 3, Aliens, Ace Combat, and many other games.
Nintendo was a disappointment. Only noteworthy game was Weegee's Mansion 2 on 3DS.

Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Arkham City,AC: Revelations, and Mass Effect 3, and The Old Republic. That's all that really look like a buy from me (not sure bout the Old Republic, not too big on MMO's). Everything else just seems, meh.

Skyrim though my pc will die, Battlefield same issue but dies happier, and most any other shooters, my guess is there will be some good ones and some big failures or carbon copies *cough Black ops Cough*

- The Old Republic (Star Wars + Bioware = Awesome)
- Child of Eden (A total trip for the trailer. I don't know what's going on but damn it looks cool)
- Anything by Atlus (Still a fan boy)

I was really disappointed we didn't see more Aliens: Colonial Marines. Prior to E3 they sent blogs the dolls head Newt had in the movie, and then a large photo of the ship from the movie, and then a goddamned pulse rifle that shoots foam darts! Theres a URL for http://www.fraps.com/ at the top, a video capture tool mainly used to record videos for PC games. In this case the free version of fraps was used, if they had purchased fraps there would have been no watermark, and its not considered professional to show such a watermark in videos, whether it be Machinima, or a video for a demonstration, especially if you're presenting at a conference such as E3. This also means the footage shown was not from the Wii U, but a PC. |
