Look, if it makes you feel better, I'm terrible at switching tenses (hey look at RTS for proof.)

Writing is something that you just keep doing and get better at much like everything else.
A suggestion is to try to write everyday. Whether it's part of a story or not. Start out doing at least 2 min and gradually go and add more time. Free writing is one of the best things any writer can do. Look, we prolly made some terrible comments on your writing and it wasn't constructive criticism but all that doesn't matter anymore. If you want to continue writing, then do it. Don't let anyone stop you

And if you want help or someone to proofread, send me a PM and I can help you out to the best of my American knowledge. c:
