These are from my basement, next to my gun cabinet. I have another sword, but it's an antique british officer's sword (not a calvary saber though) that I believe to be from the 1800's. I don't think I'd take it to a zombie though if I had other choices. My shed has lots good things for close combat (hatchet, axe, sledge hammers, chainsaw (I know, not starting a chainsaw discussion), etc) And this is my M1917 American Enfield with the 17" bayonet

I'M JUST SAYIN if you managed to replace the pumping mechanism with an industrial air compressor, you oculd do serious damage!
Imagine 1 cubic cm of water hitting a target at 500psi.

That would be interesting to see. Though to be honest I would expect the supersoaker to just explode, they're not made to take that much pressure.

Hmm. That's interesting. Everyone always wonders about renewable ammunition supplies. Why not use hand-pumped pneumatics (a-la Metro 2033)?
The ammo would be MUCH simpler to create (Or gather), and probably even reusable in some cases.

Yes you can generate a stream of water that would have devastaing effects to a body, but the question is how practical is it. How protable, how much resources need to go into producing and running it, etc.
As for the hand pumped weapons, there are air rifles (pumped) that are as powerful as firearms. The rate of fire is not high, but accuracy and energy are the same. Certainly a good choice for a survival weapon.

They're also relatively quiet too, aren't they? Would make a good weapon for picking off a stray roamer or two around your living area.

True, I suppose. If you're going to the effort of upping the pressure like that, why not?
