wood and steel....they just don't make 'em like that anymore. I would bet the AR-15 I'm building now will break down long before my 1918 American Enfield.

I just wish they didn't butcher them here by throwing in a hunk of metal to limit us to only 5 rounds. Ah well. Also, Browning is bringing back the A5 Shotgun! SEMI AUTO ZOMBIE SLAYING FUN!

My Dad has a surplus Lee Enfield and a 40-year-old Mossberg 400, and both still shoot fantastic. Some blued steel a tree bits, and nothing else.

Most of the weapons you post here are really awesome... I always wanted to start to learn to shoot firearms but the legal constraints here in France are really high and I do not want to undergo all this procedures now (And since I do not have a driving licence, transporting a weapon to the range could be impossible...)
Anyways I'm not entirely defenseless, I have several goodies that I'll post here.

Well FireFog, if you ever come visit the US and you're over 18 you can rent a firearm at most indoor ranges and get some instruction just to give it a try. And other "goodies" can be just as much fun to collect, study, work on, learn to use, etc. Can't wait to see them.

So here are the "goodies" which I talked about (which are mostly dirt-cheap knives lol) :
From top to bottom : - French model "An IX" (1800-1801, since the year 9 of the French Revolutionary Calendar is from late 1800 to late 1801) bayonet, we had a hard time restoring (I don't know if this is the correct word in english), it was a block of rust seriously when we got it, then identifying it.
- Dirt-Cheap unofficial (some details are uncorrect) Bride's Sword "replica" (I had it for even cheaper since it has another handle)
Last row, left to right : - Machete
- German WW2 Karabiner 98 bayonet (1939), we also had a tough time restoring it since it was basically a block of rust (we got it at the same time as the An IX)
- Miséricorde-type dagger
- lolwut
