Hello. Its me again.
I did an art.

REmember the last time I did an art?

If no, then good.
If yes then, well you can see the reason i haven't posted an art in a while.

This are my new art. I did it yesterday. Its really sloppy, but thats my style.
It was drawn on like, sketchbook paper, I guess? And was inked up with an ultra-fine pen.
That is what I beleive to be me, if I were you know, awesome holding an unorthodox weapon combination whilst Jenny Calls me dumb. Remind you of anything?
Here.

Alright, so Apparantly this is branching off into some sort of TZH fanfic-esque story.

It wont have a whole lot to do with the initial story, just take place in the same universe, but will have its own characters for the most part.

So far theres me, what I assume might be Log!, and Dodom.

If it's a TZH story, it should be in the fanart/fanfic section, (you choose which) it gets lonely in there sometimes.

Also am I a mad doctor?

Yes. You have to give me a medical examination when i wash up on the island and afterwards i look straight up traumatized. Its good fun, but alos youre like, super duper kind and nice. I think later on theres gonna be someone that pipes up "At least you didnt get Dr. Opus..."
Yeah, i think opus is gonna be a pediatrician  Outlaw with an upgrade

Anyone know how to compress hi-res files?

My first comic is ~9MB. How I fix? .-.

Welp, heres the second page, anyway... If you have trouble reading let me know.

I agree that the writing could use some improvement, there are words that I had to guess from context.

If your other comic is drawn like this page, you can compress it by saving it in gif format with less colour information.
For HQ, I reduce luminosity then increase contrast until the background is white again, that makes the lines black as they should be instead of grey, and reduces the shades of grey needed between the two. Then I save it as a 32 colours gif image, unless it's an episode with coloured elements, in which case 64 is usually enough. If it's full colour, I save in jpg format, gif is worthless for full colour images, but the compression can't be too harsh, it quickly messes up the speech bubbles.
I do that using lviewpro, but I'm using the 1995 version, from what I see on their site the current version still has the neat palette and compression control features, but I can't tell if they're practical to use, I'm not comfortable about upgrading software I'm already satisfied with.
Oh, and to preserve legibility, I find scanning at 100 DPI is optimal. Not all scanner software allows you to control that directly, when it doesn't, adjust the size so the width of a 8x11 sheet is just a bit above 800 pixels (34% using my scanner, but they don't all have the same definition of what 100% means) Better set the size when scanning rather than resizing later and get escalator pixels everywhere.
Also erase pencil marks before scanning, at least under the text, character faces, and other important details.
