So we're forming a tri-faction guild on TSW. Three Cabals (Illuminati, Templar, and Dragon), basically. It's called The Coalition, and each Cabal has its own name. Er...I'll quote Jeni: So here's the compromise.
Three Cabals, one for each faction. And a Coalition of Cabals, consisting of the three together. Now, hear me out.
It is important to note, as Erling said in Ufrag interview, that the factions will be in direct conflict for resources such as Anima and of course, knowledge. Now, any smart group of people would understand that there can be a benefit in keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.
The Coalition of Three (or whatever) would have it's share of backstabbing, conspiracy, infiltrations into other factions, lies, shared half-truths, etc etc. Sort of like the families of the mob perhaps. Or, think of it like a super villian super group! They have a common goal, but they want to use each other to get to the goal themselves without having to share and will do that in rather underhanded ways. Dragons working with Illuminati would see it as a necissary evil. Templars working with Dragons might see them as a good front line of combat fodder. Templars and Dragons might be interested in tapping into the Illuminati's wealth...for a small share of their secrets.
It simply makes sense sometimes to work together. At least partitially. Until it becomes more economical to kill off the competition. So if any of you guys are interested, go here and reply. |

Also loyal to the Illuminati, but I definitely see some advantage in this. And I wouldn't mind access to some of the competition's secrets. There's nothing to be gained from crushing the Cabal, but much to earn by ruthlessly exploiting it.

So these people confused me. A Dragon member (Lodestar) made it seem like our Dragon cabal (Ouroboros) was going to be in The Coalition. But apparently not. So now I'm in two cabals randomly. I might end up dropping the Coalition, though I'll still do the graphics when needed.

Yeah. XD I was there when they were doing some of it. It's still going on and I hope I can actually contribute this time. I would have before, but they solve it way too fast for me. I'll leave for a half hour and come back and it would have been solved already. Ridiculous.

Each class has their pros and cons. Illuminati are rich and intelligent, but they're supreme dicks. Templar are rich and honorable, but they're so extremist that they'd kill innocents for the greater good. Dragon are humble and honorable, but they're mischievous and plotting.
They say there are more secret societies that are for NPCs. It would be cool if at some point later in the game we could drop our own society and join up with one of those.
