OH MY GAWD IT'S A 3RD ONE.

Yes, this is the 3rd Secret World topic I've made. I made the first one a while back...

Anyway, if you don't know, The Secret World is an upcoming MMO from Funcom (Age of Conan, Anarchy Online). It's their biggest project yet, and it involves a modern-day world plagued by oncoming revelations. The game revolves around ancient folklore, mythology, conspiracy theories, and the end of days.

I'm giving you guys an update, if you were curious or even cared XD. I'd give you info on the alternate-reality side of the game, but it's too long and drawn out. So I'll just update you about the main portion:

Sometime last week they began leaking footage of the "Revenant", which would appear in the next trailer.




So, if you've seen the first trailer, you may want to check out the second one they released today.

Also, they started doing "initiations" to the different factions (Templar, Illuminati, and The Dragon Clan): Initiation Test. If you do the test, you'll get a chance to enter into the beta, and they give you a "Starter Kit" which is just some pictures (insert my avatar here).

Tis about it. For now. They're releasing more stuff at PAX (I'm pretty sure), so I'll add more updates when the time comes.

Ooh. One of the DJs on Gridstream Productions (Anarchy Online radio station) was drooling over this. Hmm. *looks sadly at Level 52 Adventurer* I dunno, maybe a change is as good as a rest.

*ADDENDUM*
Watched the trailers. Interesting. Though the flat at the end of the first trailer looks remarkably like my apartment in Borealis City i.e. crappy and run down.

XD Luckily, I'm sure this game is going to be 500x better than AO. Ragnar only wrote the back story for AO though, he didn't actually work on the game. TSW, however, he worked on fully.

It'd be good if you read up on the goings on in the ARG first though.

Milkshake/smoothie girl is only in the other video. She's with the Dragon, the blonde girl in the second video is with the Templar, and it's safe to assume the badass with the cigarette is with the Illuminati.

@Grammer: Totally and utterly surprised yes. As in totally not. XD
