Killing Heidi, though I'm guessing you would know them if you heard them..
Umm Kittie? Though they are pretty grungy, cool though.
Plumb, they have a lot of darker sounding music etc with sting instruments...
Orrr, Regina spektor, though her voice might be too twangy..
Within Temptation, lots of stringed instruements and sort of rock alt.
Skillet normally have a male vocal, but some songs do ave a girl vocal, and they are pretty rock/alt and lots of stringy instruments etc...
Yeah I have many more possibilities, but who knows?! :O
You need to start remembering to take down notes of some lyrics >.<

@Milly: The only ones on that list I know of are Flyleaf and Kittie. XD I'll try out the others though, maybe I might find the song. And I would have written down the lyrics, but the first time I heard the song it was in the car with no writing utensils. The second time I only caught about 10 seconds of it and it went off before I had the chance to do anything. ;__;
@TZ: :C Yeah, I found that site already. I tried. And failed. I also tried out the site where you tap the tune, but that failed worse. Also, Heather Dale makes me for happies.
