To be fair the zombie genre is itself a zombie. no matter how many times you kill it or over produce it, it keeps getting back up. The same can be said for all horror movie genres, though i was disappointed the the remake of the wolfman didnt bring a decent surge of love for the werewolves.

I don't really care if the zombie genre is "out".
It'll be like ghosts: it's not THE thing in horror anymore, but it's still around and every now and then some good story comes up.
Hey, vampires have been coming and going forever too!
And bright coloured clothes with butt-hugging pants: people thought they left them in the 80's, but they're all over the place again!
