I remember about this dog head (you can find it on youtube, I am, not going to look at it because it will give me nightmares) that was basically kept alive using a heart and lung machine indefinitely until it starved, or something. It was awake and panting, reacting to touch, looking around, and everything, but it was just a head. O_o

There was some history channel thing on the beheadings during King William's time.  This one guy put to death was a scientist and he told his buddies 'watch my head in the basket and see how many times I can blink.'  They counted about 13 times before he sorta stopped  o  V  o'

Oh FuCK, wut teh hell guis?!   Angry  And don't forget this.  Would science stop chopping things up and sewing them together, it's not a legit advancement unless it's a totally kickass monster that eats the people who create it!

They beheaded two monkeys and sewed the heads onto the other body.
The bodies worked and started functioning normally. Except for a hitch: Beheading means that you have to sever the neck. The monkeys were paralyzed neck down.
So yeah, when science figures how to connect/repair necks and spines that are broken to the point where you are paralyzed, not only will a lot of cripples be able to walk again, but you can technically get a new body.

They say that when beheading someone, the executioners in the old days would lift the head not to show it to the public, but to show it the public, so the people getting excited over their death would be the last thing they see.

As to how long they stay alive, braincells die in four minutes without oxygen, but consciousness lasts at most one minute. If the weather is hot, rigor mortis can set in in less than fifteen minutes, so I guess it could easily be moving at that time.

Would it make sense if someone used the zombie nom panel as a shirt and wrote beneath it  "Those were the halos you were looking for."  .V.

The deeper we read into Jenny's comic, the more realistic the art becomes  D}<

Man, them halo soldiers are rookies...  But nah, really, spitted right through the chest.  Must have been real painful.  Also, it looks like the guy under the dismembered guy got some of his head bitten or spit on.  Can't really tell which.

(oh yeah, hey back again or whatevs)

Are the red halo military members former members of goverment militaries or are they drafted and trained on the island? What kind of background do the troops actually have?

There is a page about it.

Say, do spitters have the ability to run?

I don't see why not.  They don't have any "zombification deformities" that would suggest they couldn't.  Maybe if their spit dribbled onto their legs while wandering...
