He prolly was still breathing at the time. But why didn't they tie him down?

Also, why would they bring the dead bitten guy into the base?
The lady looks like his close friend, and do you say no to someone with an assault rifle that's demanding you treat them?

Looks like they just put him on the table, from the stretcher that he's not on any more

Come to think of it, if this is a Romero story then that Lady is guaranteed to die in the next panel. And I must say those eyes, though freaky, are also kinda funny. When the virus starts to inhabit the eyes (or whatever) it seems like the person will reanimate once the eyes are fully black. So the eyes sort of becomes like a loading bar. * starts imagining booting noise*

I really like the "Wet" effect you gave to the tears and blood. Nice.
Also I hope the woman with the dark hair doesn't bite it in the next page.... I have a thing for black hair.

My oh my, seems like we're two. Also it would almost be ridiculous with all the officers dying left and right everywhere.

No, Tears are nifty, possibly even swell, very rarely they are radical.
But they are never great.

Thirded on the black hair.
Make me choose between two women of equal value and give one black hair and the other whatever and... yeah. Black wins hands down. Don't know what it is.

Not to sound crude or anything, but that just seems unprofessional of the Red Halo mil guys. Imagine theyre breaking safety procedures there or something...
Its nice to see the softer side of the Red Halos as well, opposed to the burly and bitchy behavior witnessed before. Gives nice contrast to the organization as a whole. Kinda makes em more tangible as people.

I'm guessing this is one of those "screw procedure, he's one of us!" moments you always hear about when "pros" (we don't know how seasoned this Halo's are) forget all their training and get desperate to save their buddy.

Maybe the half-life project works better when there is a strong emotional attachment between the half-life and someone else that is around.

Loading Howler 83%
Yeah, what if the fucker becomes a Howler or a Basilisk? That would show a clear lack in the safety procedures. The moment he turns, everyone could quickly be in grave danger. Doesn't matter if there are three officers in the room if a Howler disables them unexpectedly. And a basilisk... well that woman would be in immediate danger.
